my first urban fox

i have had an urban fox problem in my area for ages and Bromley council as usual do nothing about it apart from giving out the number of a pest controller

there are idiots on my estate that have been feeding them for quite a few years and the population is out of control they have done there best to ruin my gaden and my neighbours wind my lab up and more importantly burying food and my dog digs it up eats it and I end up having a housefull of sick and poo I have delivered leaflets to all my neighbours (obviously anonymous) saying if they keep feeding them I will get rid of them

I got in touch with bacs and asked the legality of humanly trapping them and shooting them in the garden and the answer was its legal but watch the noise and shot must stay within the garden

I am pleased to say that I have finally got my first one a big dog fox fit as a fiddle really good looking and healthy (not a surprise as they are fed well by someone) I have not baited the trap just left it in the corner of the garden overnight and it was obviously doing what nosy foxes do and got captured I came down in the morning and found him got the mossburg 410 hushpower out he was standing up so I put the 410 to the top of his head and 19and a half grams of ely subsonic went in job done

although I am putting this in the photos page I have not included a picture as culling them is in my mind not sporting its just a job that has to be done

I will keep you informed how I go in the future trying to thin them out
