biggaz2720 Posted August 24, 2016 Report Share Posted August 24, 2016 Hi every one I am new to pigeon watch and have been shooting for just over a year now and can't get enough of it , I am taking my 10 year old grandson for his first lesson at Doveridge on Saturday , now if he enjoys it I want to apply for his licence , the question I have for anyone reading this is can I apply for his licence , if and when I buy him his first gun can I keep it in my safe , cos the police do their usual checks but he won't have a gun safe at his ( my sons house) it will be at my house , any info would be much appreciated. Why not just use your cabinet to store one on your licence,?. They would Not allow a cabinet where he lives even if he did have a licence,He is way under age.. It would not allow him to store it where he lives,unless the person he is living with also has a Licence and have a cabinet of his own.. Ten is a young age however if he grows to love the sport having a certificate will teach him respect and responsibility and their are plenty of opportunities and temptations these days as youngsters grows up to possible mix with the wrong sort or get into minor trouble all of which he may hopefully think twice about due to his love and joy of the sport which could be taken away for just for a moments stupidly.
