welshwarrior
Ok so a warning light comes on to tell me if got a blown bulb on the front left driving light. I remove the bulb to change it and only the metal contacts bits in the holder the glass part is rolling around inside the light housing. Anyone know how I get this out??? subsonicnat
If I have read this correctly, the Glass has broken away from the metal holder.??. If this is the case, disconnect battery, and get get some small or Large pliers,,,Depends how much room you have..,,Bent pliers may do the trick,,grab the Outer case with the tip of the pliers,,, PUSH AND TWIST IT OUT.. Hence why you disconnect battery,or you will blow fuse..
Walker570
I read it that the glass part was inside the lens. If so take the lens out and shake it out as suggested above. If it is just getting the metal out then the above with a long nose pair of pliers. As said make sure no current running to the lamp fitting when you do this. Could leave the glass in there as a feature :-) Edited September 27, 2016 by Walker570

welshwarrior
It the glass part is now inside the lens I don't want to take the unit out as it's stupidly complicated with the light that follow the wheels and all the halogen bits. activeviii
Short length on garden hose, tape to house vacuum cleaner. Poke on the hole and it will either suck it up or hold is long enough to pull out
ph5172
I had this happen to 2 Volvos. 1st one I managed with the straw and hoover trick, took ages though! 2nd one involved uncliping the glass from the light. Luckily I managed it without removing the light and bending the bumper down with a flat metal bar
