Limber tail

My lab has been acting strange around his back end for the last couple of days and his tail looks strange.

He's also not been wagging it as much.

A quick search and I think he's got this limber tail thats prone more to labs and swimming in cold water the poor lad !

Is this likely to be a common accurance ??

My lab has had it a few times now, she got over it after a few days and it didn't seam to bother her at all. She was still running about like a something possessed when we took her out with a ball. She even jumped in to the small river for a swim.

The only common denominator for the times she has suffered, was she had been out shooting with me on the walk one stand one syndicate I was on, she probably wagged her tail nonstop all day.

That's probably going to happen this weekend, I've been invited to a walk one stand one day on Saturday so his tail is going to be going wild !

My lab has had it a few times and it clears after a few days. She has had it after swimming in winter storms with really cold and rough waves on the shore and in the summer flat calm , swimming for a few hours playing , but the water is still pretty cool even on our hottest days.

I think it's a combination of cold , wagging and using it as rudder swimming aid.
