old man
Anyone managed to dissemble one, looks glued to me as no obvious knurling? Mine has a tiny whisker of fiber sticking into the pellet path which seems to affect accuracy, not sure what it is but could be insulating material? AA slow to respond to email. To be honest not concerned as my old ears can't discern on or off anyway? Don't want to go in bullish as no wish to remove anything other than the whisker. Anyone please? steve_b_wales
Haven't got one of those, but would suggest putting a 'hot' cleaning rod into the moderator to melt/shrink the whisker of fibre.

old man
Thanks for the replies. Thanks Steve, may be the only way. No thanks oldy. On closer examination with reading glasses and probe the whisker is as tough and resilient as 50lb fishing line. It's 5 inches in so very difficult to access. Must be part of the lining. Still thinking on.
HAYBURN
As Steve above say May not be worth the trouble stripping it,,,, at your own risk
old man
Thanks HAYBURN, it's now obvious that the nylon intruding into the pellet path is blue matching the video. Will knock it apart.
old man
Now apart, FWIW not bothering to permanently fix till modified with better tube such as hair curlers? Very poor quality nylon mesh sleeve temporarily fixed by trimming ends but will fail again soon due to having open ends on the flimsy lattice. A hairdryer provided plenty of heat, would not use a heat gun.
HAYBURN
Glad you got it opened, was it that easy . there are loaded of videos on you tube. Pink or blue curlers ?
old man
Glad you got it opened, was it that easy . there are loaded of videos on you tube. Pink or blue curlers ? Thanks again. The dryer on full provided plenty of heat and they came open easily after 30 seconds. The real trick was to use a vice with aluminium jaws to give a very precise grip as the surfaces arr easily damaged. Pink I think. The problem with the originals is soft ends to the mesh which work past the sound proofing, spring and small collar on the washer into the pellet track.
