Closed Sundays..

Why is it gun shops are nearly always closed on a Sunday? For instance Shooting on a Saturday and find your self low on carts or your coat finally gave up and need a replacement for next Saturday. Or your misses requires you for Saturday yet Sunday she is visiting her mother so you could of spent a couple of hours being tempted in a gun shop instead.

Myself I ripped my moleskins today, I need a pair for next Saturday, I work the sane hours as my local shops are open. So I will be forced to shop online, I'd much rather support my local shop though!

Fishing shops have cottened on that Sunday mornings can be very good trade now.. why havnt the shooting shops..

I've rarely never been to a Sunday ground that doesn't sell cartridges. Admittedly they're sometimes a little more expensive than I'd pay from my regular supplier but that often applies to grounds that are open in the week too.

I understand your point about other stuff but I guess it just doesn`t make much economic sense for them to open for the sake of selling a couple of slabs and the odd shooting accessory. Plus I guess the owners like a day off just like the rest of the population.

My shop is open 6 days a week.

We don't close for lunch, and I have been known to stay open later to allow a customer to collect.

On Sundays I'm either at the shooting ground running a shoot, coaching etc. or on the opposite Sunday taking part in a working party at the shooting ground.

I read this all the time and the question I always ask myself is Why don`t you telephone your local shop in your dinner break and pay with your card over the phone and get them to post them out to you, simple you have then supported your local shop it`s called mail order and it is what we used to do before the internet came along.

I worked in retail for over 30 year's. 1/2 way through that they started opening 7 days a week lol to increase turnover lol

How on gods little green earth is that going to work.

Why shouldn't retail staff have a Sunday off, remember the Sunday roast, the whole family sitting round the table passing round the roasties.

Probably not 1/2 of PW. Those day's are long gone. Get organised uy a spare pair, do you just have the one pair of pants ???
