I don`t do much high goose shooting and I`m not a very good shot so dinner- plate- sized-patterns-at-60-yards, as are obtainable with some after market tight chokes would be wasted on me. For me,the factory half choke does everything that I want from it on the foreshore. I`ve patterned a number of after market chokes and, although I am fully convinced that some can produce spectacularly tight patterns with steel shot, I really can`t see any improvement in the actual shot pattern over the factory chokes when using the more open bored ones.
