As per request from Guttersnipe on the Half Moon knife thread:

A simple bifold, made with 1.2 mm goatskin. Pattern was a free one if the web, adapted to give extra card slots. Dyed with Feibings oil dye, finished with carnuaba wax.

A little rough in places - first time using a pricking iron, plus first time working with leather this thin.

I also have a trifold cut out and dyed, ready to assemble, so that will appear here when it's finished.

Nice , it brings back memories of my old dad, he was a master cobbler like my grandfather , but when synthetic factory made shoes came in the trade died.

When he was near retirement and onward every christmas he used to make leather wallets, purses and tobacco pouches to order to make a little extra cash for Christmas and I used to help him as a lad with some of the stitching.

He also used to repair leather boots and shoes in his shed when we lived on Canvey Island , me helping by waxing the sole's, heel edges and final cleaning.

Thanks for a great memory jog :good:
