How much on a bottle

Recommended Posts

I have 4 permissions and buy each one of them a bottle of wine and bits to say thanks, I spend around £25 each so £100 all in. Each person is extremely grateful and has always reciprocated by passing a bottle over to me apart from one who decides to give me £100 and says them bullets aren't cheap lol

Appreciation on both parts, I think this is the way it should be.

+1 in whatever form that takes.

£30 on a bottle of whisky and a box of biscuits for the wife.

Been doing the same for last 20 years on my permissions - and have never lost one. Small price to pay to access all that land whenever I want. I know it works as I have heard on more than one occasion that approaches and all sorts of offers and promises are made by others desperate to get on the land but it is always a definite no.

I'd like to think that a farmer would stay loyal to me regardless of a gift at Christmas, I feel a gift is just given with no strings attached and is just a nice thing to do to show appreciation.

If your farmers are well off and no one as come along with the right amount of cash you are lucky.
