+1. It's almost as good as my XSearcher.

Im looking at the Nightmaster 800 but not sure what the difference is with the Xsearcher?

Edit, maybe ive got it wrong and they are all Xsearcher but thought i read it was a different head?

I recently got an EVO T67 as, from the torch factory.

At its tightest beam at 80 yds ,it is too bright !

So has to be widened, only tried to about 200 yards, but its the best Ive seen.

Ta fella,will have a look.

The Xsearcher is the same as a NM 800 apart from the head being bigger. Personally, after having checked the 'IR' on the two torches side by side, there wasn't much difference between the two, with the XSearcher slightly better. But, for the difference in price, I would stick with an EVO one.

I intend to try the two torches side by side with Red pills fitted, just to see what's the best.

Cheers for that Steve.

Be fine if you could let us know how you get on.

There is a photo somewhere on Facebook, showing the two torches with red pills, switched on side by side. Very little difference, as far as I can see. But as mentioned, I'm going to conduct my own test using identical, fully charged batteries.

I'll put my findings up soon.

UPDATE:

I fully charged 4 identical make batteries and fitted them to the two torches with red pills. I shone them at pine end building at the back of my house, and the range is approx 70 yards. I found that the XSearcher beam is slightly tighter, but not a lot, but very little difference in brightness. If anything, the XSearcher looked to be the best. But, as mentioned before, the difference in price need to be taken in consideration. I would certainly recommend the EVO 67 torch with 'AS' red pill. It's also good with the IR one too.

Kind of set on the Xsearcher so will probably go that route but the Evo sounds top value for money.
