Snoozer Posted December 5, 2016 Report Share Posted December 5, 2016 Hi, I've finally decided to realise an ambition to own a shotgun for some 30 years Purchased a 7 Gun cabinet and mounted to the wall then hand delivered my F201, FEO visited last Friday (yes that's 12 days) with a thumbs up advising me to allow up to 16 weeks for the cert to hit the door mat, Very impressed with how quick in fact i couldn't believe i had just been phoned by the FEO until i hung up lol Any way i'm now on the hunt for a 12 bore and have fallen for a Berreta 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Sporter 30" having today had a good look at one. It felt like it mounted nicely as when i brought it up my eye was level with the rail but what do i know being a begginer. Off to my local shooting ground next couple of weeks for another lesson and hope they have one i can put some shells through as the last thing i want is a £1500 gun that i can't hit anything with :( First lesson i was on a Browning but didn't find out which model and that sat low every time i mounted it which was annoying but as it was my first lesson it wasn't top of the consideration, That was safety, safety, safety and quite right.. Well that's me folks, Just have to wait now for that cert to arrive next year by which time hopefully i'll have tried some other guns to make sure the Berreta's for me...
