Fair price

What do you think is a fair price for my car ?

Looking to move it on, not had much interest but it's only on Gumtree so far as auto trader charges about £30 a week I believe.

Would appreciate some advise. If it's over priced fair enough. I looked on autotrader and they seemed to be going for around £6K

Now I'm not saying you are. And Iv not even looked at what car you have. But some people when valuing there cars obviously look for the best prices and dealer prices. And as with fixed prices in the trader. Just dos there up for that desalt mean there selling for that. Personally I'd look on eBay for what you have. Watch a few that are up for auction and see what there making. Car prices can have a lot to do with who wants what and at what distance they want it in. Some people don't want to do much traveling to go view a car.

Whatever it is your selling. Good luck mate.

I think gumtree is the wrong place to sell - whenever I look on gumtree it's always just full of bric-à-brac or what you might see at a car boot sale.

As far as cars go, it's the same on eBay - rude boys and dealers dumping motors. Indeed, if I've looked to get rid of a car quick I'll stick it on eBay, suffer the Nigerian scammers and just get rid.

For a proper car sale aimed at serious buyers you'll have to suffer auto trader and auto trader prices.

The absolute last resort is we'll buy any car - or rather we'll buy any car at a price, and of course everything sells for the right price.

On a note aside ; you really shouldn`t include the RFLT -(road fund licence tax) into the sale price anymore , its bad form old chap ..

because when you sell the vehicle it will not transfer to the new owner.

The new registered keeper has to tax it now before it goes on the road legally.

Any remaining full months it had left will be refunded to you upon V5c being re-registered to new keeper or sorn ;).

,

so to reflect your asking price, you may want to adjust as necessary.

hth.

Nothing wrong with Gumtree or ebay. I Have sold vehicles within 12 & 24 hrs on both . People will refine their own searches when looking for something particular.

Lloyd90, I'd do what was said before watch a few on the bay and see what they go for.Only accept cash on collection. They are not all scammers on eBay, just a minority like anywhere else.I bought my 1st 2 shooting vehicles off the bay. They where exactly as described and if some one wants the right car they will do what I did, jump on a train to go buy/view.You can spot the bull ****ters just by their responses or questions to your add.

You could also use we buy any cars valuation tool, but don't expect to get the same once they do an appraisle but it's a good benchmark.

I'd be surprised if you don't get interest due to it being a nice affordable car to run,but I'd get a few more detailed photos on your add like side panel pictures or close pictures of the quarter panels ect.I know when I was looking for motors I only looked at adds that had detailed interior & exterior pictures. Hope you sell the Lloyd90 for water you asking of very near you asking price.
