South Coast Clubs

Having moved house the Essex clubs being the whole way round the M25 has made them much less appealing so i am looking to join a South Coast club. I am totally open to ideas, I own a boat so the various clubs that require one to get the best out of them would be fine. I am loving my Fenland membership but its a long way for me and i want somewhere i can do a Day trip.

Main criteria is for a club that has a genuine active mentoring system that means new members can actually get passed out from being probationary members (my Essex club had no system in place for members to actually ever become full members).

Any thoughts on Langstone/ Chichester and Poole (or any others) would be very helpful

Thanks for your help

Guy

Langstone W.A. has an exemplary mentoring system and one can graduate to Full Member after completing a probationary year and passing the final test.

Most of the other detail is available on their website.

It`s a proper old fashioned club that looks after it`s members but one has to be prepared to join in and commit to such things as wardening duties. It is not merely a provider of shooting and may occassionally ask for something back from you.

Many clubs have a policy of not entering into online discussions about the merits, or otherwise, of a particular association, however, i`m the official spokesman for the club.

Thats odd Guy as in the Dengie we expect you to come up for full membership in a year ! Also if you are already a fowler and can have sponsor ship to show you know your stuff ,then we look at your record and check it out with a view for full membership ,and in fact the FWA also do the same !

But hope you find a club soon and get back out on the marshes !!! . I might be able to give you a nod or two so pm me if you like
