Feeding my beaters

I always cook a warm meal for the Guns and Beaters on our shoot. I vary between Chilli, Curry, Casserole, Bolognese. All cooked at home and reheated on a baby belling cooker.

Tea/Coffee and biscuits available through out the day as well.

We try to make it a pleasurable day for all. It is a bit of effort but I think its well worth it.

For 11s we get hot sausages, kept warm by one of those cooler type boxes that are able to keep things warm as well as cold???, loads of sloe gin and for lunch we get Broth and whatever is left over from the guns as the keeper always has his wife make way over the top so there's always plenty to go round, Ive been going for 20 year now and we have never went hungry.

Yesterday we had sausages , mash , small carrots and onion gravy to go over it , and plum crumble ( or it tasted like plum ) with custard to go with it , basic but very nice , on the last one we had chicken curry with rice , which I must admit wasn't my choice and a fair bit of it got wasted by me and the other shoot helpers . so the curry get a no no .
