Weren't Robin Page and David Bellamy once employed by the BBC, but that employment ceased due to a contradiction in their beliefs and that of the BBC? I know both of the above are pro shooting conservationists.

That's the difference scully......Robin Page and David Bellamy are realists and conservationists the recent and current crop of TV wildlife presenters like Packham and Oddy are anthropomorphic protectionists.

Conservation means control and management.......not protect everything and let nature take its course!

Which sounds to me what supporters of "Rewilding" are promoting?

All's well now that he has done the decent thing and apologised - no harm done eh? just because he "forgot" to check his facts. Maybe a post on FBook suggesting that he has been arrested for having indecent pictures of children on his Hard Drive ? Followed much late with a simple apology - must have been an innocent mistake.

He has issued a correction over night , but still bad form. He's suggesting it wasn't him that posted it- but I'm not convinced :

He may have issued an apology but the original tweet is still there with the link to the petition which now has 24,000 signatures. So job done as far as Packham is concerned and all based on a complete lie, amazing!
