sako751sg Posted January 13, 2017 Report Share Posted January 13, 2017 Forecast this morning was for 55ishmph winds and wintry showers so spot on for the pigeons. Absolutely baltic with snow dinging on and off most of the time but had some good sport although the standard of shooting was pathetic.First box was emptied for 5 birds but things did improve a wee bit and ended roughly 3/1 which wasnt great but the birds were hard with the wind. Ended with 31 picked and 3 lost in the hawthorn. Had a walk up to the nearest feeder and dropped a cock pheasant and then held away for a duck hopefully. Again conditions were ideal but the ducks had other ideas and only one came over and a nice wigeon drake down. Also had a wee flight last night in a blizzard with Mac and we ended with 2 mallard and 3 teal.All ponds will be near frozen now so hoping the harder weather doesnt last too long.
