Waders and warm feet?

Hi all,

I am into my second season fowling and have managed to get away (mostly!) with wearing waterproof trousers and a pair of Muckboots so far.

As I have become more confident and adventurous it is time to get some waders. My question is: are there any waders out there that have insulated soles/warm boots like the Muckboot?

My Muckboots have been awesome, I have never had cold or wet feet in them.

Over the years I have had various types of waders for fishing and have found the attached boots very basic and cold, even with thick specialist socks.

If Muckboot made waders I would be first in line to buy some!

Thanks.

I have searched the web but have not found any Muckboot waders. If anyone knows of such a thing then a link would be great.

If not a recommendation would also be great.I have not considered your suggestion panoma1, It's a good one, I will investigate. Thanks.

I have ended up with stocking foot waders and seperate boots for salmon angling. They are a young man's boot and I am not a young man. Its fine putting them on in a nice dry fishing hut but hopping about on a wet and windy morning at a car boot is not a pleasant way to start the day. Fine when you are younger but when you find your arms have shrunk or your legs have stretched its a nightmare. Neoprene might be you answer as they are warmer than most breathable fabrics.

The best warm waders are sourced in the USA.....I have La Crosse, 1000 thinsulate waist waders...fantastic! But now is not the time to buy with the poor currency exchange rate

OP will have cold feet because of Brexit!

Contact Clegg and Farron, they are both in desperate need of new material. This could be just what they're looking for!

The £\$ rate was £1.40 ish ( it has small variations ) just before the start of the Brexit ( Not long before that it was £1.70 ) but fell to £1.20 ish the next day and stayed at that level since . The price of USA waders have been hit by a double wammy, the cost of oil ( they are made of an oil based material and the sharp drop in the exchange rate. So to suggest Brexit has had no effect on the £\$ rate is pure loony leavers rubbish. But this is not the place for Brexit Debates. I have get a of pair of Diwa nylon waders , cost just under £50 and still going strong 5 seasons later with no leaks. The only trouble for me is as with all waders is they are far too warm to wear in comfort in all but the coldest weather. But if you have cold feet problems get a pair of Bama sockets and make sure your waders foot size are a couple of sizes too big.

Not that long ago the $/£ exchange rate was 2/1 then prior to the referendum it was 1.5/1 not long before that it was 1.7/1 (your figures!) so according to your own figures, prior to Brexit, there had been a large drop in the value of the £ against the $......which cannot be anything to do with Brexit!

Post Brexit.....today the current exchange rate is 1.231/1.....so given the large pre Brexit drop in the £/$ exchange rate......how can you claim with any credibility this small post Brexit drop in the exchange rate is due to Brexit?

Just another remoaner clutching at straws to try to persuade people "we was right"

As I already said this is not the place for a Brexit debate , I just answered an untruth you brought up. Just read the FT index and the reasons behind my statment will be clear. I will say no more in this wildfowling forum about the subject. Off Topic is the place for this stuff.

If you want warm check the cabelas waders out. I have the big man version and should have bought the normal ones as big in USA is different to U.K. definition of Big  the boots have lots of thinsulate and keep you toasty warm when sat. You will cook like a boil in the bag ready meal if you need to walk far in them though.

Cant beat ( as of yet ) Cabelas Dry-plus breatherbul WAIST waders Fantastic feet warm all time but as breathebul can walk long distance no trouble ,they come in camo ,I use regulr as theothers are to dam long !! also boot size can be your normal boot size as dont need thick winter socks !!! ... Waist waders are my choice as dont have a need to float about with my nipples on the water line ! Also dont have to strip half naked to have a pee !!!!

If you sort it out befour you can get a friend who is holiding in the USA to have them delivered to their hotel or appartment and they bring them home in suitcase as their personel usage = no taxes !!!!
