Is it me or is a slab of cartigdes more expensive than a shotgun?

Went to my local (North Yorkshire) shooting ground and the 21g /8 carts are now over £50.

I can pick up a sxs for that.

I used to pay £42 or £35 on a good day but now everything seems to be more expensive.

Seen some adverts in gun shops mentioning BREXIT, but we haven't left yet.....................

It doesn't help that every single new cartridge brought out is sold as the most supremely amazing yet. The box designs and price tend to be the only indication of how 'premium' they are...

Reading the blurbs on manufacturer websites, it's surprising they even need to sell more than one type of cartridge going by the apparently magical performance of even the cheapest.

If they just said 'Ok this clay load does the job for the money' i'd still buy them and they could pass the savings in BS marketing on to the customer.

I was at Park Lodge the other day and yes the prices are up hence my google for a cheaper cartridge price when I found the "B" word.

I have usually found 20g and 410 usually more expensive than 12g,

The shop mentioning the "B" word is quoted bellow, and it's their red font:

**Please note that ALL prices have increased due to BREXIT and as such, no prices currently stated are guaranteed to be the same price on completing a cart and submitting payment, this is a monumental task with over 20,000 product lines to update, please bear with us and to confirm prices ring us instead of placing an order**
