Nice :) any ideas why they have tusks? Genuine question as I don't know

 

Evolution, or perhaps I should say the lack of it.

 

Scientific evidence suggests that all deer once had tusks and antlers but as evolution evolved, the larger species developed more prominent antlers and their tusks disappeared. Thus leaving only the small species with tusks.

I have had a few munty that have some sort of tusks all be it smaller than cwd but still visible,

I just thought they were sabre tooth deer lol
