Came across this on anther forum and thought it may be of use to some here

Awful website but for £100-£150 you can have a bike/bale/kit carrier on towball

http://www.bak-rak.com/index.htm Ideal if you don't want to put wet muddy stuff in car and have a tow hitch.

Looks really good if you ever need to move a bale 2 or of hay or straw about and have a saloon!

No affiliation just thought it looked handy and not a bad price

I had a brown seat moment with a heavily laden car and nothing on the tow bar when going uphill in the wet a corner led to some horrendous understeer (at 20mph!).

It had felt alright until then on that journey.

Not sure i would put many bags of cement on one of those unless the car was otherwise pretty empty.

Years ago I had a big Vauxhall and I wanted some concrete blocks so I got to the builders merchant and loaded the boot up with blocks not that many really did not fill the boot at all then I set off for home god was I pleased to arrive home when I went over a bump the front wheels nearly left the road making it terrible to keep going in a strait line never again just a word of warning.
