6.5x55SE Posted February 5, 2017 Report Share Posted February 5, 2017 In the long gone Lead days i certainly shot a lot of Pink's Whitefront Greylag and Canada Geese from the creek shown in front to the right of the old Wooden Landing Stage. I'm sure Anser2 can remember a foggy morning goose flight out there I remember it well and that cracking morning when thousands of geese marched across the muds right up to the steep creek we were hiding in. I could almost reach up and grab one by the paddles they were so close . And the temptation as low geese came out from inland and landed in with the flock. Such days sadly are long gone , the muds are protected as a reserve, I would have problems reaching the creek with my dicky heart and now a days most of my pinks come from inland water meadows. TIDES EDGE Posted February 6, 2017 Report Share Posted February 6, 2017 Well for once it was worth watching but I expect most of us were shouting at the first bit when they showed a bunch of Graylag after going on about the numbers of Pinks in Norfolk apart from that it was good , the bird flue coverage was very worrying for any of us concerned with pheasant rearing for next season.
