Silhouette Goose Decoy Template

Crows are easy because they are black and most people can paint black. The geese are a bit trickier with the paint job but I found you don't need to paint every feather as long as the colours and white patches are reasonable. I also added sections to slide in and make the decoy visible from above. The Correx is excellent for this job as very easy to cut the slots with scissors. If your doing them in ply wood then a jig saw is worth it's weight in gold.

Make them just a bit bigger than natural.

Yes someone made these type of Decoys, its the stuff road signs are made, dont take too many, lol.

They put them on a pivot pin, when the breeze blew, apprently it turns them on and off so to speak. One minute the geese could see them, the next disappeared.

A bit like a dog in a duck blind,,The geese are curious and come to have a closer look..

Oh Dear..
