Nathanp1
Can anybody tell me whether a miroku 3800 forend will fit my browning 525? Thanks
Paul1440
I'm not sure but I don't think it will as the screw holes are different. The 3800 forend will have an insert visable on the exterior beteen the latch and the forend iron. The 525 i don't believe will. .
HDAV
I do I fact have both in cabinet I will have a look but I think not. The stock on a short tang 3800 will need a modification to fit the 525 also afaik the long tang stock will not fit properly.... Ok so the 3800 has an extra exposed screw in the underside, my 3800 foreend wont clip onto my 525 but my 525 friend will clip onto the 3800 You can probably fit a 3800 forend to a 525 but would need need the 3800 metalwork as well as the wood imo 3800 on left 525 on the right free image hosting Edited February 22, 2017 by HDAV
welshwarrior
The 3800 has an exposed exchusion like the 325 and early 425. The 525 like the late 425 had this "hidden" inside the forend. The forend will most likely fit but will require a change to the pin nearest the action.
