I looked around quite a lot and came up with this design which works a treat (thank for those of you who send me pictures of your ones). One old boy who taught me ferreting packed up recently and gave me his old priest. No need for a kilo of brass or half a church roof! I bought the trees from a tree surgeon who was removing them from an old garden. I took up the chainsaw, cut it up. Bandsawed out the blanks and hot waxed up the ends. I've been drying some Yew and Laburnam for the past 5 years. This first one is made of Laburnam which is sometimes called "English rosewood". IS this a change of subject :blink: Anyway.... it's not a shed .... it's a 16 foot x8 foot and 8 foot high wendy-house !!!!! (neighbours don't like workshops!!) I'll make some more in Yew and Laburnam as these are heavy naturally and give a nice finish. I've got some Lilac tree/bush wood as well which has been drying for 6 or more years ....
