I couldn't find one of these things anywhere Only those little metal strips that stops your empties from exiting the breach (eliminating the purpose of a semi auto in the first place!) so one rainy day I knocked up this contraption. Repeatedly field tested with maximum 28g loads. No problems apart from it is a permanent fixture (Until you get the knife out). Bolt operation and magazine carrier unaffected. :good:

Here is offending article on a Hatsan Escort

Feels amazing to shoot with it on.

All comments welcome

I'm going to give this a go with my SA.

I have started using black carts & they are a pain to find / pick up. I was going to try & work out a "tommy-tippy" device but i'll give this a go for now.

Yea it took a few cable ties to get the netting just right but once its on it aint going anywhere, hard part is finding the balance so you have enough slack in it to flip the net up and remove empties. Good luck

done a nice job, but dont see the need for them

It's not really a matter of stopping them flying out at people's faces as that's never concerned me as I just use this gun for sporting. It's really for people who can't be ***** to pick up their carts after every stand.. your back will thank you :good:

*Edit: ...and cock the bolt

can you make me one and send it please?

if not have you got any designs??

john boy

Afraid not, it's gotta be built around ya gun.. Heres how it's done:

1x Persil non-bio net

1x Colour of your choice spray paint (for protection)

4x Cable Ties (Although I'd gotten through about 6 before I got the positioning perfec)

Pliers (or sumat to push against to tighten the cable ties as tight as you can)

Skizzas to cut off and clean up the ties

Cut off drawstring and remove foam thingy.

Spray the net - I used matte black car paint to give it rigidity so it doesn't just flop inside the bolt and it also offers some protection against the elements. (I've shot mine in the rain and still feels pretty solid).

- Leave to dry

Pull your shotgun's bolt back, place net around breach and evenly spread so it doesn't get in the way of the bolt and then cable tie it on leaving enough slack on the bottom of the net to lift up so to allow easy-access to the chamber. The net should be slack at the bottom enough to flip the net around inside. Once you get this just right tighten the cable ties as tight as they'll go. (see picture 1 on first page).

The cable ties I used are 200mm from B&Q.

You need to combine 2 of them to reach fully around the receiver, so 4 each side of the net.

Once you're happy with position and you can operate bolt and slam it shut without catching on the net and place a snap cap in there with no hassle then you're done.

That's it i think, never been a good explainer but it's pretty simples

Good luck
