Hey Lee, Without any messing around is this gun still for sale? Nothing is sold until you get the cash in your hand or bank. If so what is your lowest price?

Miroku MK38 grade 3 teague sporter for sale
Welshways replied to tangiblesolid's topic in Guns for Sale (Private Sales)
Hi Mate, Sorry you are another victim of the recession, there will be many more yet. Hate to depress you more but your price for this gun is over optimistic. I have 2 similar Mirokus with Teague chokes and if you need the cash I think you need to get closer to £1000 for a deal. -
I find that Eley Olympic Trap are a good fast economical cartridge. These I use regularly on DTL and some ABT and get consistent good scores. These are available on line at Justcartridges .com at £131.50 per 1000 plus £15 carriage, or Clayshootingrus.co.uk at £131.50 per 1000 plus £16 carriage. There are other cartridges with equal performance, eg Express Super Competition but prices for these will be higher. Depends what you shoot, for club practise you need a cheaper cartridge, but maybe for competitions a higher speed cartridge may give you a slight advantage on leads etc.

Still Looking for Decent SIPE Replacment
Welshways replied to Hewey's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Hi All, Did someone say they can't get RC Sipe (Yellow Case) any more? I just bought 250 32 gm plastic wad in 5 shot on the net from Clayshootingrus.com for about £66 delivered. Tried these out on game and a few unlucky pigeons flying over with great results. Used to shoot Winchester Western cartridges which were very fast and hard hitting at stupid ranges but these are not available now. RC Sipe are similar to those and I will continue to use them. Hope this helps. -
Hi Could be interested in the Miroku. Is this still for sale and can you post better pictures? The picture posted is just the bottom of the stock which is not much help. Please send PM to advise. Thanks

Thanks for all your advice folks. I have checked prices on Just Cartridges website and from there links to manufacturers websites. Apart from Eley most manufacturers do not publish muzzle velocity so it is hard to judge what to buy. I would have thought that someone would have prepared a list of this which is quite a critical factor in clay shooting. Regarding fibre wads, I have not tried these for many years so possibly they are better now than they were then, fairly pathetic. Also I notice that Winchester still make Trap 100, but don't know if these are the same spec as those I used 10 years ago. If anybody can point me to a list of cartridge speeds I would be grateful. Thanks again

Would prefer 28g, but how much per 1000 are the VIP or RC4?

Hi all, I have just resumed clay shooting again after 10 years absence, excuse was too busy at work. Now semi retired and have plenty of time. From my earlier days I had a few hundred cartridges left which are now nearly all gone and I am bewildered at what to buy now. The last cartridges I had were Winchester trap 100 which I got on with quite well but cannot get these from my local gunshop. Unfortunately the gunshop will just recommend what they have too much stock of which often are pretty poor e.g. Aquilla. I like a fast cartridge not costing the earth, something at least 1450 fps and plastic wads preferred. I tried some fibre wads and would have hit more clays with an air rifle! The other complaint with dealers and cartridge manufactures is that cartridge velocity seems to be a closely guarded secret. Is there a list of speeds available anywhere for various cartridges? Can anyone recommend cartridges for ABT and long range sporting etc?
