This is because the limp damps tried to become left of corbyn and greener than the greens - not a centre party
  2. you could always use it on the "cut"

Same goes for Red Corbyn and his left of Stalin cronies

Watching Corbyn's "fixer" (Macdonald?) on this morning's news - refused a joint interview with an opponent, obviously unable to answer leading questions
  5. Straws and grasp spring to mind - How convenient, exactly 1000 with no report on how many were polled - never mind 1100 will come along soon and say the opposite.
  6. Fair enough I have met 1 or 2 like this - but from experience you have to admit you are in the pleasant minority. Sadly, giving cyclists the right to use rural footpaths that they do not have rights of way on currently, will result in the majority thinking they then have priority and all other users must clear the way for them or else. An example of this occurred today, close to where we now live is a footpath that is currently up for consideration to be upgraded to bridle way (consultation signs are up). The path is both steep and uneven with a brook in the dip at it's lowest point. Today I was out with the dog (off lead as away from roads) when a group of about 6 "off roaders" hurtled down the path just missing an elderly gent and his old dog (on lead) and nearly hitting my dog closely followed by myself. as they passed one shouts "get out of the way and control your dog, don't you know this is a bridle way- not for footsloggers" Fortunately for both them and me they were too far past for me to push my stick through a wheel.

We see the "new socialist" rats are starting to jump ship already
  8. you have missed the point - I was talking about the use of rural and semi rural FOOTPATHS
  9. This was my original point - with examples of what happens in shared space now.
  10. Here speaks a man that has not encountered the effect of this - the standard PC view that only white English people are racist!!
  11. Not talking of banning anything just maintaining the status quo. ie FOOT paths stay for FOOT traffic only.
  12. me too I'm afraid, however I remember during the foot and mouth epidemic in the 60's being given cartridges and being sent on to the marshes to shoot Starlings as they were suspected of spreading the contagion.
  13. That is the problem - they ride at you so you move - Friend had a springer get a broken leg when one rode into it then tried to sue for damage to the cycle and on this occasion dog was on a lead.
  14. saw on the news this morning that the cycling fraternity want rural and semi rural footpaths opened up to cyclists. Having seen the chaos these "sports cyclists" (cyclepaths) create in shared areas the thought worries me a great deal. To the south of Manchester is a village called Poynton, outside of which is a disused single track railway known as the Middlewood Way. Poynton itself is the subject of a shared space experiment where all have equal right of way. Generally pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists are reasonable and aware of each other and behave accordingly with right of way issues. The exception is the cyclepaths who feel it is "not on" that they should slow like all other users and should have total right of way, as a result continue to hurtle through the area as fast as the can peddle making the area unsafe for children and elderly alike. Anicdotally (from resident friends) there have been more accidents with these than all other groups put together. The Middlewood Way crosses the end of the village and runs from Marple to Macclesfield and is a shared rural route for cyclists, horse riders, and pedestrians, and being generally fenced on both sides is a good dog walking area. Generally users are aware of each other and it works well, again apart from the cyclepaths who travel the route at top speed and get abusive with other users who "get in their way". It is therefore impossible to use the area with small children or dogs without them being under extremely close control and with other users being totally alert as these idiots appear at high speed with no warning and you need to be prepared to "jump for it". Now if all footpaths were made shared space it would be difficult for any user to "enjoy" a walk because they would need to be fully alert at all times for these "of roaders". I know there is not a lot of love for the "woolly hat brigade" but one interviewed this morning had a good point when they said these users have no warning device on their cycle and appear almost silently. If it were to happen it would be impossible in some areas to walk dogs off lead for instance which could effect many on here. Well rant over but what do others think os this happening? YB
  15. The sad thing is that as lads when you caught bass you had to eat it yourself as you could not give it away (virtually nobody wanted it).
  16. You are real handy for one of the best coaches - search Beretta (name) on here - based in North Wales - he will put you right.
  17. This is typical "socialist" political response from local government right through to the EU commission - we have conned you into voting for us now do as we say, because we have the power for us and we know what is best! (what is best for us that is)

Sorry - could not resist correcting
  19. It should also be remembered that the well known unbiased activist Shami Chakrabarti produced the report
  20. Not wishing to further the argument but I would suggest that as a relative newcomer you read back some of the similar topic from before you joined - I think you will find the same amount of "bile" if not more is generated from north of the border. Before I retired I worked over most of the UK and the worst "racism" I encountered was in Glasgow.
  21. You always end up paying through the nose for that
  22. It depends on the type of leather, If it is oak tanned it is fairly simple, If it is chrome tanned you have a problem. If the non finished side is greyish in colour it is almost definitely chrome tan and does not take dye at all, it just sits on the surface. If the back is white or white-ish it may be oak tan (like saddlery) if so It will take dye or "coloured aging polish" A quick look on interweb indicates that it is probably bridle(oak tan) leather. If so change is possible I use these people for products (probably because they are local ) http://www.theidentitystore.co.uk/
  23. And stoked by the pro remain press.
  24. Easy - no deal no German car or French wine imports without high tarrifs - tune will change rapidly.
  25. Yes my thoughts too - gun -- foot -- trigger!! Is this man safe to hold a firearms/shotgun certificate
