  1. Here my old 200tdi disco being slowly destroyed when offroading, I keep breaking things on it as I fix other parts of it. done numerous mods to it to keep it going and improve it but then something else falls off, last problem was the bonnet get stuck down after I jammed it by going down a 2 steeper angle. crow
  2. For sale is my hills stirrup pump in yellow, its in as new condition and only been used about 4 times, comes with all instruction manuals and adaptors as when it was new. I want £80 for it which I think is fair as they sell for about £130 new. Am located in Suffolk will post if necessary and I guess that will cost an extra £10 but would prefer for it to be picked up. If you want photos or want more info just p/m me or post here, mind you not really anything to take a photo of just a yellow pump, but if you want some pics just say. Thanks for looking Crow
  3. I have for sale my BSA Hornet single shot .22 air gun for £300, i am selling due to the fact that I have not even shot a tin of pellets through it since I bought it and now it is just sitting in a gun cabinet not doing anything. The gun is in excellent condition, it comes with all original instruction manuals, spare seals, allen keys as well as 2 adaptors to fit to stirrup pump or gas bottle. Its fitted with a Hawke Airmax 5.5-16X44 (with mounts) which was purchased with the gun and is in excellent order and also comes with its original instruction manual. It also comes with a Weihrauch silencer which is far better then the standard and was also purchased new at the same time. The gun also comes with a hard case as well. I also have a Hills Stirrup pump which can be bought with the gun for an extra £80, which again is in excellent condition and was purchased with the gun. (Note that I am advertising the pump elsewhere so when its gone its gone) Any questions just PM me Thanks crow
  4. I also find that most people i know who shoot 20's can shoot as well as people who use 12's, in fact i know a chap who never shoots anything bigger then a 20. he normaly shoots a 28 and he kills things cleanly and at good distance he shoots a lot better then a lot of other people i know. But you do of course get the bloke who shoots it 2 be different, mind you he normally says the sun was in his eyes whenever he has a shot. I think that a 20 in the hands of someone who can use it is just as effective as someone who is a good shot with a 12. but you will always get the guy who can not hit a barn door with it. I shoot a 12 most of the time noddy but reading your posts on 36g loads seems a little ott, 32 is a max i would say for game. Unless you want the bird turned into a puff of feathers and a tescos microwave ready meal. But i do agree with what you say in clean kills thats why i always buy the best ammo i can as i respect my quarry and feel its worth the extra few penny's a shot. crow
  5. Has anyone tried these before, was thinking of getting some for a couple of guns i dont use very often. Or if no one has used them before does anyone know of anything like them. Thanks... Crow http://www.gunwear.co.uk/item.php?itemname...&itemid=564
  6. I had a mate who did that as well with a mossberg in olive green air fix spray on, he applied a coat of epoxy primer first then gave it a number coats, looks good for the price only cost him £10 for the airfix spray and not much for the epoxy primer. Not sure if he put the epoxy primer on the barrel as well might have just put that on the stock, anyway it has stayed on for years now and is totally water proof and cost sod all to do. Crow
  7. 11-87 SPS Super Magnum, i want a IMP Skeet For it
  8. does anyone know where i can buy New Remington chokes off the internet in the UK or know of a gun shop who keep them in stock and has a telephone number, would also like to know if anyone knows any us websites which will send to th uk as long as the postage will not mean i have to take a loan out . Seems to be very hard to get hold of them. Have looked on ebay and there is not much, thanks..... crow
  9. I totally agree and so i voted No everyone should have the right to use private transport. However i do have a bit of an issue with people who drive 4x4's and live in the middle of no where and so think they need a 4x4 to ferry themselves around. Hell i live in the middle of nowhere in suffolk, our road gets flooded regularly, it ices up as the council never put anything on it in the winter and i manage to get through what ever the conditions in a ford escort estate diesel sorry but people who think they need a 4x4 who live in the middle of nowhere are mad, the roads are not that bloody bad its just pointless and annoying. As for fuels of the future hydrogen is the answer however its going to be years before it gets here. I would also love to see the government try and fund a bus to come and pick me up everyday to go 2 work and pick up the 2 other people about a mile down the road lol like thats ever going to happen. 10. For ear defenders try the Peltor ones, they are good quality and work a treat. As for Pc's look on http://www.dixons.co.uk/ i just got my new pc from them cheaper then i could have built it lol. When buying a pc remember that the new windows (Vista) is out soon so sometime in the future you may want install it. So try and find a PC which meets the requirements of Vista otherwise in a few years when everyone else is on Vista you will have to fork out to upgrade your computer to be able to handle it. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/ to see the requirements you need to run it. The other thing you could do is wait till it comes out for home users and buy it ready installed on a pc then you know you will not need to upgrade for years (comes out January i believe). I am sure i will now get a load of comments about how you should get a Mac or use linux and sure they are good but just face facts the majority of programs are windows based so its best to go with windows. 11. I have had IE 7 installed for ages at Beta on a laptop and find it ok, i have not had any real problems other then it being very slow to open when u first load it. I also have firefox and use that just as much. Only thing i have found with it is it sometimes does not like logging in to some websites where they allow you to stay logged in and keeps kicking you out. I also use IE 6 on this PC at the moment and thats fine. Will probable stick with IE and have firefox on as well. IE 7 is ok but not worth the bother yet. Mind you IE 7 does have some good security features about checking sites are what they say they are and not fakes so you don't enter you password in them. Crow
  12. Tailgaters are the scum of the earth I can not stand anyone who tailgates what ever the reason. Its dangerous and very very annoying. Anyone who is caught doing it should get a £200 fine on the spot. I have to put up with it every day always some sod just trying to cut 30 seconds of his journey at the expense of driving dangerously. I normally stick to the speed limits and see no reason why I should be bullied into going faster by these oxergen stealing *****. If someone does tailgate me I am more likely to slow down just to annoy them lol. I also have found that since I have a bigger car then the pervious one people tent to do it less to a bigger car. While if you have a smaller car people always seem to want to tailgate you even if you are going at a good speed. Crow
  13. For general shooting I shoot a Winchester 23, for wildfowl I shoot a remmy 11-87 SPS Super Magnum 3 ½ inch chambered. With an AYA 3inch magnum for backup. For pigeon shooting I will normally use the Winchester 23 or another 11-87 with a light weight barrel on it. For rabbits off the back of a truck I will either use one of the autos or a pump action I have as a backup gun if all else fails. Don’t normally bother me about taking the gun out, as long as its well oiled down afterwards and dried well. I guess minor damage can occur sometimes you just have to accept it and take it to the gunsmith afterwards. Lol :( crow
