  1. Try this in McDonald's. If your order comes to £5.90 (or something like that you offer £10.90 or £20.90 so you don't get a pocket full of change back. Invariably you get the 90p back followed by a handful of shrapnel anyway cos they can't work it out.....
  2. Bad year for tomatoes this year Jim, mine are awful except for 1 plant that I just dug into a barren corner that has gone nuts!
  3. To help out a bit with petrol money £160 takes it......
  4. Thanks for the replies guys. Yes it's a great saw model and I've priced it to make it go away as I've now moved over to battery products. I can't believe someone hasn't snapped my hand off yet! Even if you don't want to work it, it would make a great saw for a collection.
  5. Husqvarna 61 Chainsaw Black top, metal chain brake version. New bar, chain and brake band. Starts and runs as it should, ready to play. £180 collection from Kettering only.
  6. A few years ago my electric meter was intermittently buzzing. If it happened at night it was loud enough to keep you awake. I asked, pleaded and begged at the time to have it switched out but all fell on deaf ears. Now I am being bombarded by emails texts and calls telling me I HAVE to switch my meter for a smart meter immediately if not before. Well guess what, they can whistle in the wind... Original buzzing noise was solved by giving It a darn good whack with the head of a broom 2am one morning a while back. Not a peep has been heard from it since!
  7. Well there you have it, after a grand total of 10 months and 12 days the Northamptonshire renewal process is complete! I now have a new certificate and a sheet of paper with a long list criminal activities that will result in the revocation of my certificate. What might have been less onerous maybe could have been a shorter list of illegal activities that I can do which doesn't risk my certificate...... On another note, my old certificate and table were 2 sheets of a4 paper. My new certificate is 2 sheets of a4 folded and stapled to form an a5 booklet to "save paper"? By my aged addled brain there is no paper saved and an extra staple used? So that's all done until we do it all again in 4 and a bit years.
  8. That's the visit /interrogation done. Went with the chocolate hobnob option. Its just a waiting game now to see if a new certificate drops on the mat or they bust the door down at 4am to confiscate my guns. Hopefully the former, I would assume if its the latter they'd have done it by now lol
  9. Every time you speak to them, the first thing they ask is if they can close the complaint (having done sod all to resolve it) followed by they need a meter reading despite being provided with one sometimes less than 3 days before. Every time I have any contact with these idiots I end up under the stairs with a miners lamp on reading bloody meters for them.
  10. I too have had British gas foisted upon me. I haven't had one correct bill from them since January. During this time their dd request in several stages has gone from 79/month to over 400/month the current state of negotiations with their complaints manager sits at "you can stick your direct debit up your jacksie" .
  11. Interview booked, time to carefully choose biscuits......
  12. Todays development, a section 7 certificate has plopped on the doormat apparently valid until September 2023.....
  13. I see you played it safe by getting him to send parts to you lol Too many nice toys in that place to risk visiting!
  14. Have a word with Burnley Dave, he'd be able to get that sorted for you and have a couple of spare doors ready to go?
  15. Email received from Northamptonshire police to the effect that everything is in order with my renewal application. I am renewed electronically for now. However it will be some time before the paperwork comes through because they are currently working on December 2021 renewals and they only have 2 enquiry officers at the moment.
  16. Any luck with dibble so far Jim?
  17. Sent an online request a few days ago asking a couple of questions regarding the renewal, the silence is deafening?
  18. Nothing heard from Northants police so thought I'd give them a little prod. Apparently they are not taking phone calls to enable the processing of a backlog. According to an automated message if I have submitted a renewal request I am legally covered while the process is in progress......
  19. Form collected and the online hoops have been jumped through. So it's over to the police to do their bit. Hands are being sat on again. I must say less than a 2 working day turn around from the quacks was outstanding service all things considered.
  20. Just had a call from the quacks, apparently my completed medical form is ready for collection so I'll beetle off over there after work this afternoon. Nice quick turnaround on that bit 👍
  21. So you have attached your completed medical form signed by your doctor? I've not got mine back yet so I can't attach it?
  22. I had similar 10 years back. My new feo requested a meeting to discuss my current shotguns and why I had not notified them of any acquisitions and disposals. Prior to that meeting I printed off all the emailed requests and their acknowledgements amounting to 30 odd pages. It was a very short meeting...... Always keep a paper trail, saves a lot of problems.
  23. With Northants it's not possible to submit the application online without a copy of the completed medical declaration attached, hence sitting on my hands.
