  1. Hi. Would anyone know how to identify the thread size in the picture which shows the top of an old mahogany theodolite tripod that I would like to use as a standard lamp and, rather than drilling the original (threaded) brass cap, I would like to create an adaptor in order to screw a lamp holder onto the male thread so the tripod isn't irrevocably damaged. The thread is 1 1/2" outside diameter so maybe 1 1/2" bsp? Thanks in advance.
  2. I think it's this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LkGRxjWQ_c&ab_channel=DaveKnowles-filmmaker

.177 or.22 Anyone got one to sell please? Thanks in advance.
  4. SOLD. As photos. Rare in .177 and comes with new(ish) hard poly case with foam. I don't think I can post the CO2 cartridges so they would have to be on collection deals only (someone please correct me if that is wrong). Collect MK44 or PE8 areas. One sold on AirgunBBS in March for £140 without a case. I would like £145 to include post or Hermes / EVRI and some pellets for plinking. Advertised elsewhere.
  5. Thanks for the clarification. I did try Google translate but it failed..!
  6. ..strange there did not seem to be any air rifle owners amongst them. "Difficult problem"?
  7. Many thanks. My local agri / farm supply store has them. I'll pick a couple up over the weekend. My wife would agree with you......
  8. I had an old plastic bucket. Been with me for over 30 years. Solid build, strong handle a large capacity. Carried live bait when full of water, groundbait, fresh dug lug and ragworm is massive quantities, was 5+ years used on charter fishing boat as a sluice bucket with a big rope attached to handle, lobbed overboard (at full speed) then dragged back aboard to sluice the boat down on the way back in. Used on board for other issues.....🤫 plus (for the past 4 years) sand, gravel, cement and muck on a new house build. Last week the handle snapped whilst I was adding bricks & rubble to a skip. No problem methinks. Sorry to see you go but time to move over for a new bucket. Jeez....what a pile of carp. B&Q, Wickes, Screwfix, Huws Grey plus 3 x independent hardware stores and all lightweight (hard, not flexible) plastic with handles of wire thinner than a Sketchleys dry cleaners wire hanger. What is going on? All I need is a good strong bucket. HELP!!!. Would anyone know where can I find one please.
  9. If you're stuck I have some small rifle primers (brands & quantity tba) & not too far from you that you're welcome to "borrow" and replace at a later date - if that's of any use. If it is I'll search the man cave. PM me & let me know? Cheers.
  10. I have used Sterling FX but found a Wise (previously Transferwise) to be a lot cheaper. I have got a multi denomination debit card that you can spend almost any currency in the World and Wise will debit any currency you have on deposit. I'm regularly paid in US$ and in Euro and their transfer fees are ridiculously cheap. Check out https://wise.com/
  11. Yes please. Please PM payment details. Many thanks.
  12. As above please. I've been using Williams Racing Screen wash Concentrate for years which is excellent - but now I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.
  13. ..that is too painless. My wife suggested a blunt spoon should I "wander".....😳
  14. Great presses and overall bombproof (I have an identical one of the same age) and I too lost the placky bar thing for the primer catcher - so I emailed RCBS and they sent me a replacement for free. Worth a try for the new owner? That won't be unsold for long.
  15. My thoughts exactly. She's resigned before the **** hits the fan?
  16. I was only one month old at the time and (thankfully) far away from danger either in Scotland or deepest Buckinghamshire but there are two thought provoking 1953 flood markers I have seen regularly - one on a wall near the quay at Wells-next-the-sea and the other on the front wall of the Harbour Inn pub on the side of Blyth river in Southwold. Frighteningly high marks. Did they blame these floods on global warming?
  17. I did that. No response yet.
  18. The new site is useless. Search parameters are beyond dire, bookmarks don't work and I have to log in every visit with full email address and password - why no "remember me" option. I would suggest the IT "expert" knows not a lot about guns. Bring back the old site.
  19. As above. Sub 12 ft/lb John Bowkett blueprinted and modified plus tweaked and Tench regulator fitted by RatWorks with recent strip and new seals (also by RatWorks). Invoices available. Shoots pellet on pellet H&N FTT 4.52 - target picture attached is 40 yards off sticks leaning against a barn stanchion. Comes with 2 x 10 shot BSA mags plus BSA fill adaptor but scope and moderator are not included. Just not being used as I have .22 FAC Daystate £600 collected MK44 Advertised elsewhere.
  20. Thanks for all the replies. I'll get the vernier out. The gun (AyA sbs) patterns best with Eley and Fiocchi cartridges but the right barrel (which fires first) looks tighter than the left barrel. It's not of critical importance, just wanted to know.
