  1. Thanks for the offer but I am after the one piece base to replace the normal two piece fitted to the T Bolt so as to be able to mount an NV unit with 75mm long Picatinny
  2. Looking for either EGW Picatinny Scope Mounts (EG-43332) or the Brittania Version to suit the Bowning T Bolt Rifles, 20 MOA and 0 MOA please pm if you have any available, cheers, Keith
  3. Off topic a little .... Had to charge the 105AH battery on my 2016 X4 last month as the battery went flat due to not being used and various kit such as the alarm system slowly but surely draining it over a period of a couple of months. First attempt was to use a 1.5A battery charger/conditioner that trickle charged it for a couple of days, enough to start it but not put any amount of real charge in. Second attempt was to purchase a 4A/8A charger/conditioner that did a better job but stiil didnt get it to "Full" status on the chargers digital read out as expected after yet another couple of days. Also came to realise after first attempt that the vehicle does not like having the charger connected directly to the battery which lives in the boot, the charging leads need to be connected to terminals under bonnet so as to feed the battery via the ecu/copmuter or it confuses the system and which results in various fault codes that then require clearing. All good so far but expecting a bill of around £200+ when it eventually requires renewing and which also then needs "registering" with the vehicle ECU that a new one has been fitted, pretty sure this can be a DIY job as well rather than parting with a kidney at the main dealership.
  4. Very nice indeed, never seen the Banksia nut before
  5. It worked for me as they say, so providing the model and year are the same I dont see why not.

  8. Evening all, Can anyone identify what this growth is that was found on a flightless Pheasants recently, one suggestion is that it may be an injury that has manifested itself on a pricked bird. i've never come across such before.
  9. Tore the cartilage pretty bad in my left knee around 15 years ago, I put up with the pain and inconvenience of the torn but still attached section popping out and eventually back in again for a while till it decided to do so one time whilst I was carrying a 25kg motor up a flight of steel stairs when on a night shift, when it used to pop out the knee used to give way which was OK and I could recover from a tumble most of the time, that occasion prompted me to get it sorted. I had keyhole surgery where it was cut out and trimmed by one of the best knee surgeons at the time as cartilage does not repair itself naturally, been bone on bone since and I still put some miles in whilst out and about during the year, no doubt the knee will require a replacement at some stage but at least it doesnt pop out and collapse me anymore. All depends how bad yours is and if it lets you down at all as mine used to and when least expecting it, and also how deep your pockets are if considering going private with the NHS waiting lists time being at an all time high.

  16. as mentioned above, the good jammers can knock out a decent size area, we live in a cul-de sac which was hit a while ago with all wi-fi knocked out at midnight and a neighbours keyless jag being stolen, a hardwired cctv system picked visitors up during previous early hours actually pulling up at the end of several driveways and photographing various vehicles, nothing safe i'm afraid.
  17. Well aware of the tax implications and dont have an issue with them, Just want what's rightfully due without someone else deciding how or what those of us that have made additional provisions should be due
  18. +1 (some piece of work this chap), let's all keep working for the masters till we drop then should we, ????? Definition of "Pensioner" ...... "a person who receives a pension, especially the retirement pension" I think the main gist of the conversation here is Retirement ........... rather than to keep marching to the sound of the drum, and to be able to do so relatively comfortably for however many years we may have left on thee planet having spent the vast majority getting to this point working for a living in the first place.
  19. Totally agree with your above post Lloyd, All I want personally out of this or any sucessive government is what I have been promised and what I am due to having signed up to the programme having constantly contributed into it since starting work many many moons ago, its bad enough that the goalposts were changed prolonging the event without a fight. When mine does eventually kick in it will subsidise my personal pension which some seem to think should be enough, what they apparently fail to recognise is that the contributions made into private pension provisions are monies not spent either enjoyed or squandered during a lifetimes employment, but monies invested in oneself so as not to rely wholely on the so called state. Some folks have some strage ideas, but not the first time I heard it, usually its from the green eyed monsters of envy.
  20. Fingers crossed it does the job and lasts out, its a frustration not having access to lathe and milling machines since retirement so as to be able sort little issues like this one out as I have done for previous 50 years 😶, hey ho what else am I to spend the pension on if not more shooting related gear 🙂
  21. For anyone in the same position of sourcing spares for "older guns" and as well as the suggestions offered above, many thanks gents. John Knibbs has a selection of various guns being broken for spares along with a comprehensive lists of parts advertised on their website, Fortunately they have a 12G Lincoln No2 that appears to have the same size firing pins as the 20G that I require and which was confirmed by a phone call. Purchased both top and bottom pins for a grand total of £15 each with a couple of quid postage so the Lincoln should be back up and running as soon as they land.
  22. As in the title gents if anyone can help Back from when David Nickerson imported them and prior to F.A.I.R purchasing the company and when much of the design changed Found the parts diagram for the (F.A.I.R) Lincoln "Premier" which suceeded the No2 but need one for my No2 Interchoke 20G which is a 2001 manufacture Cheers
