  1. Its a Siberian Roe, a different but related species. As you can see they are much bigger than our European Roe Deer. I believe they are a similar body size to our Fallow.
  2. Roe Deer buck fraying its territory. Plenty in that area.
  3. Thats a buck of a lifetime, looks a big gold to me. Very well done for taking him out well past his best .
  4. They are very effective but you must be patient. Yesterday evening I took a fox and twenty minutes later a young roe buck I had been after for two months stepped out twenty yards from the dead fox. Needless to say it was the last thing he did. Most of my stalking is done from high seats as the land is so flat around here. I find it very relaxing and rewarding. Enjoy.
  5. Brilliant mate, round three next season, oh and congrats on a superb buck!!!
  6. Has Grandad bitten the dust at last?
  7. That would be me then. Take a look on the SD forum for a short report. Many thanks Jason, see you in February, Cheers Steve.
  8. Yes you should get the two score sheets sent back with the heads. I would contact the scorer and see where they are. Cheers.
  9. Here is a pic of an 11 point Roebuck that I shot over three years ago with John Robson of Yorkshire roe stalking. I finally found the funds to have the full shoulder mount done. It should be back with me next week. Here is a pic that the taxidermist sent me of the completed mount. Enjoy
  10. Three Canadas and a Greylag for me and a mate this morning. Lots about in South Yorkshire .
  11. Try the Solway stalker on the Stalking Directory site. His boar prices are reasonable and his hit rate is very high. Good luck.
  12. That looks like a mature buck to me. Its a cracker, very well done on your first and many more to come. Which county and guide did you go with?
  13. I know the area you are on about quite well. I have for the last decade shot and managed the deer on similar land next to the other nature reserve. I use high seats in various locations which have proved to be deer hotspots over the years. They are ideal and safe when you are hunting over very flat land.
