  1. Hi, Im selling my much loved 12g Berretta 686 White Onyx. It is right handed, the barrels are 30'' and it has a 3inch chamber for the magnums. I bought this from my dealer last Jan. It comes with warranty, Multi-chokes, Ejectors, manual and berretta hard case. It is 'Extra Wood' model fitted with gel recoil pad. It cost me £1100. I am looking for a quick sale so i will take £800. Please pm me your email address and i will send you pics. The sale is going to fund a Miroku. You are more than welcome to come and check it out for yourself. Thanks Anthony
  2. Hi all! I hope your all enjoying the spring/summer hunting!! You may recognise this thread as i advertised it last week, however, due to a 'Time Waster' im putting it on for the last time. I have for sale my CZ 452 22lr. It is the sort after short barrel with a synthetic stock. It comes with brand new sirroco silencer in the original packaging, and the user manual the gun came with. I bought it in February form my local gun shop along with a brick (500 rounds) of eley subsonics. I have around 200 rounds left....so the gun has only had upto 300 rounds through it. The reason for my sale is i would like to give the 17hmr a go which is on my ticket. I am unable to afford both. I am after a CZ Synthentic style, similar to the Silouhette, but the nickle model The gun, silencer and rounds cost me £410, i may still have the receipt in my wallet (i will check) So i will give her all away at £300. The gun is LITERALLY brand new, first to see WILL without a doubt buy the gun. If you would like to come to mine to view then that is no problem. Please PM me if your interest and we will go from there! All the best
  3. Hello All, I have been granted an FAC Ticket for a 22lr this week. So, i am looking for a cheap 22lr if you could help me please. Thanks!
  4. Salop sniper, thats the exact same ammo cabinet i have, but in a different colour! Perfect for the job mate, heavy duty too!!
  5. Sonic, Since when did B&Q start doing steel cabinets 50'' long?? I have a 4/5 full gun steel cabinet. The seperate ammo safe is an Anthracite steel key locking safe with a double bitted key and anti-jamming bar all the way around. There's a few folk on here that use the digital safes as there ammo storage!!! In my opinion, they are not reccommended as the digi ones have a facility where you can reset the pin if you forget it. So one quick punch with a screwdriver and its open. Simialr to the ways they break into cars with central locking. I even bet a glass of water over the electric pad would open it. Im sure there will be no problem with the ammo safe. I never got asked any questions inregards to the make/standard etc of my shotgun cabinet. All he did was give it a good old nudge and approved it.
  6. Spot on!! thanks for the help. Really appreciated. Ill keep you posted on the developments. Im leaning more towards the 17hmr if i had to pick one of the two. However, i hope i get granted both. I bought a safe from b&q. Cost me £20, beats paying £60-80 for a brattensound one! Ill ensure i get some Hob Nobs
  7. Dear shooting enthusiasts, I have owned a shotgun certificate for 3 years now. Im a 21 yr old safe and genuine person. I have been airgunning since the age of 12 and i am an active supporter for shooting. Recently, about 3 weeks ago, i applied for my FAC. The ticket was for a .17hmr and a 22lr. the 17hmr was for daylight long range rabbit shooting and the .22lr is for night lamping as it is quieter. I am expecting a land check and itnerview with the FEO next week. I can only assume that the FAC itnerview is much more thorough that the SGC interview. Could anyone who hold an FAC please give me some advise and shed some light on what questions they may ask? also, what is involved in the Land check. is it jsut a walk around to ensure it is all safe? The land check is for a golf course. I have already got land that hass been passed for a .243 Im kinda nervous as i havent had many interviews. I jsut would like to know what to expect thats all, i dont want to be stutterring in nervousness! I bought a seperate cabient for the ammunition. But i am undeceided wether to have it ontop of my exisitng Shotgun cabinet where my rifles will be stored of whether it should be in a different room. All help is certainly appreciated! Thanks all!!
  8. I went out yesturday for a few hours. We couldnt take the rotary as the battery was dead. However, the birds never stopped coming in. I felt that if i was to utilize the rotary it may well have detered the pigeons. Its all about trail and error for rotarys. sometime they work...other time they dont
  9. Had a great day yesturday! Shot 21 in 2 hours over rape! Total 4676
  10. yeh, 1/2 and 1/4 already in...ill stick to them till i gain more exp cheers
  11. Do you have a skeet choke? WGD **** no....i listed all that were in my manual...i was only supplied 5. Skeet being 6 Ok, what you'll probably have is Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder - roughly translated as Full, three quarter, half, quarter and cylinder (i.e. no choke). There are notches on the end of the choke, 1 notch is full choke and 5 notches is cylinder. Unless you're shooting geese, stick in half and quarter and get shooting - worry about the differences later; there's loads of information available and different shot sizes and load weights create different patterns through different chokes but... if you miss, it won't matter what chokes are in, you've still missed!!! Glad you like your gun, that's all that matters... although the SP would have loosened up with use Enjoy mate and stay safe. WGD WGD, Theres too much shooting coloquial language flying round.......i need to get a grip with the shooting slang! what the hell is ''SP'' which may have loosend? Cheers for the help. I will experimient with Half and 1/4 choke over the weekend!

  13. I have no experience with choke chubes what so ever....and ive got 5 to toy with with my berretta. I was under the impression that there was 3 types: Full Half Quarter Can anyone help me and tell me what: Improved modified Improved Cyclinder Cylinder Skeet Mean? I was told not to put steel though anything higher than Half Choke as this could damge the barrells...this turE??? Cheers
  14. Gents, Rushed straight to the gunshop this afternoon after work. I was there for 2 hours looking and holding guns to get the 'right' feel with one. I tried the Miroku MK70 only to find that it was too chunky for me, i wanted a somewhat slimeline gun which was easy to handle and swing. The Browning B525 was on offer at the shop.....however, when putting the gun to my cheek all i could see was the top lever covering my sight of the bead! So, the Miroku and the Browning were a no no. I tried the Berreta silver pigeon, but it jsut didnt suite me and you were always fighting to get it open...i must admit it was a nice looking gun, but it wasnt maluble enough for me. I then cast my eyes upon the 686 White Onyx...now this felt great, the sight was brilliant, the woodwork was nice and the mechanisms were smooth and relaxed compared to the sivler pigeon. It was light, 30'' barrells and compatible for magnums and steel loads. After much thought I bagged it! (i didnt realise how ahrd it was consciously to part with £950). I bartered and got a cleaning kit and gun sling (as wellas the hard case it comes in - Cheers) I received a 10yr warranty and free membership to the Baretta club! Im gonig to be toying with it all day and night until Saturday which, for me, is the last day in the shooting season....no pressure! Anyway, thanks for all your advice lads, you really helped me making my decision. Who would have thought that after initailly trying to get my friend some advice on his first shotty to buy.....that i am swooped underneath the wings of Pigeon Watch and toggled into getting one myself! thanks again I wil psot some pics on the weekend! £950 well spent!! Anthony
