  1. Maybe a question for Airgunners though this isn’t for an air gun.

I want an adapter and hose to fit a standard UK CO2 bottle at one end but I need a female M18x1.5 connector at the other end.

Can anyone direct me to a company that can help please?

We must have lost a few since I've been a member.

Digger and Hamster spring to mind, but lots of the old boys who used to post no longer do or have for years. It's life I suppose.

Much the same with some of the retired boys I've shot with over the years. Gone to the other side.

Well I ain’t dead 🤣 I just haven’t logged on for probably a couple of years and this is the first post I’m reading.
Great to see a load of familiar names still around.

I’ve been a member since 2008 but figgy will probably deduct my time out from the 12 years 🤣🤣🤣

Grandalf is right, the link takes you to a MS sales page....

  4. Like anything, its all about the preparation. The ground needs to be dug up and you need to lay down a fine aggregate so it is firm but drains well; Then like carpet, it needs stretching out and pinning down.

I'm sure there would be loads on you tube to help you. I wouldn't touch it on a large area, but something small would be doable in my opinion.

    Good game larder for someone

The wooden shelves are on runners, but they can come out to arrange the cooler to suit other needs. I remember a number of years back where someone mentioned using a tall wine cooler as a game larder which is why I've put this up here.

Pigeons and wine, what more could anyone wish for :)

  6. I have a tall wine cooler made by Caple, it holds over 150 bottles.

I have been using it to date and drinks are kept cool, but it has played up on temperature settings where they can fluctuate.  To be honest because it stays cold I have never bothered getting someone in to look at it, so can’t tell you what it would take to repair.

Im happy leaving it switched on so buyer can see the fridge does stay cool

The only reason I am getting rid of it is because I’m turning my garage into a TV room and the new garage won’t be built for some time.

Condition, the front Stainless frame glass door is perfect with no marks. The sides have some very light blemishes but nothing major.

I know it’s 60cm wide and it stands around 180cm tall.

The cooler cost around £1400 when it was new. I had a look on the auction site and it seems prices for used cheaper coolers is around the £300 mark.

Being there is definitely an issue with this, I’m gonna say two slabs of pigeon carts sounds about right??  Buyer collects from EN6

Happy to to answer any more questions.

    Will try and upload pictures...

You want that piece of metal to be red like the one in the second picture. You say its a machine base, to me that infers that its your machine, a machine that you use, and you are asking here if anyone does spraying. have you not got enough gumption to work it out yourself? if not i do not hold out much hope for you when you use whatever machine it belongs to.

Forums are for posting questions, and this forum is particularly good at answering most. If you don't have anything decent to add, move on!!

A local pest controller I know says that the rise in the popularity of decking is keeping in him business. Rats love it. 5 star accommodation for rats he calls it.

Hence my wife won’t have it in the garden

    Any truth in that?

The majority of my decking will be surrounded with brickwork; The little which isn't am planning to take precautions over this.

WIth 5mm spacing on the deck I guess should keep rats out, and will be ensuring no gaps left around edges.

Any other tips for keeping them out? Maybe making solid sides around the edges?

I’d personally try and use as less timber as you can in the ground.

Did a decking job last year to replace an area that had gone rotten. The previous fitters had laid the joist in a weak mix of concrete so the timber just sucked up all  the water ?

I decided to use concrete lintels to lay joints on so it kept them elevated above the ground. I dug 12’’ holes at the ends and middle of the lintels and filled with concrete to give solid little footings for lintels to bed on. I could only use 4x2 joists due to back door cill height. You could up the joist depth.

If you go with posts in the ground and then fit joists to the side of them, then coat the ends of posts with a bitumen before concreting then in so it gives them a longer life. It was a bloody solid structure I must say.

Not planning to put any timber in the ground.

The MOT will be wacked down pretty hard, and planning to put down a bed of sand and cement mix with a concrete patio slab for each post to sit on; This way posts don't sit in the ground. All sawn edges will be treated.

what will it be laid over? grass concrete tarmac etc?

the base is 5" type one MOT, note, there has been a change of plan and we was going to be laying slabs :)

  11.

Next project for the summer is the garden and the first part of the job will be a large decking area.

In case it makes a difference, I'll be using composite decking boards which are 22.5mm thickness.

Decking area will be around 85m/sq

I don't mind going over board on the construction as I don't want to have problems later and I don't want any bounce whatsoever.

Thinking to use 6"x2" treated timbers for framing, and spacing 350mm to centre's.

Not decided yet, whether I should use screws or joist hangers.

Not decided yet, spacing of the support posts.

Not decided yet, what to use for the supports (decking will be raised approximately 15"), would 3" posts be OK?

Any other considerations I need to be having?

I'd appreciate any tips anyone has to offer.

  12. I'm sure I can't be the only person who has never seen these :)

Went to see a mate last night for a coffee and he say's "I've got you a present", and out come these protective glasses. I thought that's nice, but he insisted I try them on.

These are protective glasses but they are bi-focal, so if like me your long distance eye sight is ok but can't read anything close up, these are excellent.

Now whilst doing my diy I don't have to wear my reading glasses which I am constantly taking off and putting back on losing and damaging them. These must also be excellent for those in trade work where they need protective glasses.

Thanks for replies, I will check as advised and let you know if it comes back to life, the battery is new so should be ok. How easy is it to fit a new motor for £24 ?

I accept it could be the motor, but they are extremely reliable. I’ve had two cheap magnets with that motor for over 10 years and they are bullit proof.

  14. This problem sounds too familiar!

To try and tackle the problem I have fitted USB wall sockets next to their beds, and two downstairs for everyone to share.

For myself I have a charger next to my bed, one in my study, one in the car and one at the office.

When I'm at home, I have to regularly go and get the one out of the car, and on the odd occasion when I forget to put it back in the car, I'm left without one :)

The kids swear they don't take them :hmm:

I have been using some of the supermarket "bags for life" for carrying decoys in, they work great for holding Goose silhouette  decoys, you just use a hot nail to burn a hole in the base of the bag for the stakes to fit through and the bodies fit in the bag.

The only problem is the supermarkets bags are all brightly coloured yellows and orange etc the most sombre coloured ones i can find are black bags from sports direct, does anyone know of a shop that has dull green or ideally a cammo patterned bag.

Out of interest, why does it matter what colour your bags are? It's a bit like buying camo cartridge bags, why??

I did PVA seal the floor Dave, sorry didn’t mention above.

COSD thanks I did look at the floor paints but they aren’t my favourite aesthetically speaking, I’ve seen some that look okay, others that look awful.

Depending what you're planning to do in there, Costco do like a few different types of plastic and rubber flooring which come on rolls or tiles which interlock.

My mate has the interlocking in both a garage and a gym, and they are very hard wearing and look quite smart to; in your case, it would add another layer of insulation which be an added benefit.

I can't find the link for the interlocking tiles, but something along these lines except cheaper from what I remember

I think Orient underrated, I have 4 including world time & perpetual calendar, they must be good, I have reported several dealers for selling fakes on E/Bay(not that they acted)

Get other people to report fakes also, Ebay will get them removed; I'm guessing that a single report and depending on your statement they may not act on it immediately.

I know from an Omega forum that anything spotted on Ebay as fake is taken down pretty quickly, but we will report on mass.

  18. That's a very fair price indeed.

Will give them a call to see if they can fix a battery catch on one of my daughters watches and also see if they can service my wife's watch.

Liking that Seiko by the way!!
