My quest is at an end 😃😃😃😃😃, I found the Gat Gun fly swatter on Ebay, I have messaged the seller, who makes these things asking for a link. When he sends it I will post it here, so if you'e struggling for that obscure Christmas present for your Wife, (I bought mine a Lathe for Easter one year) why not pop one of these in His/Her stocking. My word an accurate one 😲, good shooting 👍 Were the Cat slugs so called because they were used to ping at cats "trespassing" into a garden for a 'tom tit' amongst the vegetable patch or in my case, a decent heap out on my dog's grave?

The chrome one was really posh 😲, I couldn't afford one of them. Like Robden, we also ran around shooting each other with them, it stung a bit if by some miracle someone got a shot on target but that was all. There was a massive variety of ammunition available, pellets, darts, BB's nails, stones...anything that would fit into the barrel really 😇. Ditchman asked "what if the hole into the barrel was bigger?" I thought about that, there is a 1mm hole right through the barrel, if it were bigger there would be more swept air entering the breech to push the pellet forward, but would it still allow the pressure build up? There's no way back from doing that as there's no such thing as a "putting on drill" I wouldn't want to destroy one of mine BUT if anyone does give it a try, let me know how it goes please 😃

Hi all, I have two of these hopelessly inaccurate little air pistols, both were flagging in power and one wouldn't even pop the pellet though the target so, bored one day, I took one to bits and as you can see from the photo, there is indeed a piston washer in there and the gun doesn't just chuck the pellet out. After a bit of inspection, it was reasonably obvious that this washer weren't a lot of cop and it needed a new one. A bit of research on the "net" and a phone call to Mark Knibbs turned up nothing, so I decided to make my own. The result was excellent 😊 I have a full 2ft Lbs hopelessly inaccurate gat gun to play with. if anyone has similar issues, don't throw the gun away, I am happy to make a few more of these washers for you to fit at home. Hi all, I'm finding all kinds of "let's hang on to this, just in case" as I have a spring clean. I'm offering two hard beds, the pink one has a couple of minor battle scars from when our little Jack Russell took exception to me removing his bean bag bed, and dragged this bed around the kitchen in an absolute temper tantrum. ( Wouldn't have minded but this wasn't to be his bed.) The black one is unharmed. The beds were occupied by a small JR and a Lakeland Terrier. The dog Crates are in excellent condition. These were for the same dogs. I'd like £15 each for the crates and £5 each for the beds. I think we'll struggle to post these, so collection only please. Kind regards, Paul

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a 12hp Briggs Engine for sale please? It would be off a ride on mower with vertical drive, a pulley at the bottom of the crankshaft to drive the belt.,It must be electric start too. The old snapper ride on mowers used to have this engine, as did the earlier Murray lawnmowers. I can collect it if you're not too far away, but please let me know your price in any reply. The original piston heads were aluminium, BSA changed them to nylon at some point. Each one I have repaired, the nylon piston head was swollen and jammed in the cylinder. The answer was to replace it with an aluminium one. Phosphor bronze might be too heavy, although you probably have one of the most expensive piston heads in existence 😂. As Old'un suggested, sometimes a stronger spring isn't the best answer to the quest for more power.

I have an old Webley Falcon, .22 flavour CW red/green illuminated reticle 3- 9 x 40 scope. The air rifle is probably due some TLC, I have replaced the barrel latch spring recently as the breech popped open when fired. It has the most amazing recoil for an air rifle, I keep meaning to take it apart to investigate the spring inside. If you're interested £50?

If I'm not too late... BB's are .175" the pellets are .177", that's a fairly good reason why they fall out of the barrel 😉😁
