  1. Hi Lloyd. I think it is worth £500 which is why I asked for that but it needs to go, so if nobody else thinks it’s worth that then I’d take a bit less. Neil in Glasgow was first so assuming he’s happy to pay the £500 and the RFD fees then I’m obliged to sell it to him first. If not I’ll come back to you. Trust this is ok? thanks, Jon.
  2. Hi All, I'm selling this as I use my 20 bore these days. It’s a great pigeon gun especially with the auto load feature which means you can load the first shell into the bottom not the side. Comes complete with the case, shims to adjust cast, manual and the extended “Turkey” choke which is 1/2 (modified). I have a number of other chokes too. open to reasonable offers as it’s got to go. cheers, Jon.
  3. I think it is the one at Jebel Ali. He was there shooting skeet, extremely well, when I was there last. Nice club.
  4. Don't get a green one. Too easy to lose.
  5. I've got a 123d which puts ot 204bhp. I run Hankooks and got about 20k miles from the last set of rears, maybe 16k, which I thought was fine as. Do welly it about. Non run flats. Cheers, J.
  6. Seriously, how do people end up where this is an option? Is it genetic? Is it parenting? Is it the society we live in? Clearly every case is different but I just don't get it 50 years ago or so Brady and Hindley appalled the nation, primarily because children were involved. This I wasn't aware of until I saw this thread. Did it even make National press? Truly shocking.
  7. My advice would be to find someone who really 'knows' Cockers locally to you and see if they will help. I had a very strong-willed Dog as my first gundog and it was really hard until I went to see the local keeper who breeds them. He helped me to train him and it was a godsend. I also agree that the Joe Irving book is very good. Enjoy.
  8. Seem to recall there was a handy balancing device for twin SUs, when I used to have a 1970 Series 1 Rover P6 V8. Loved that car...... Have a look at some of the Classic car mags with Rover V8s in them.
  9. I'd stick to shooting in fields FM, not many pigeons in classrooms and you could get yourself into a whole world of trouble. Merry Xmas mate.
  10. All, My Alpine Sat nav is up for sale. Used for only 6 months in my VW Passat but doesn't fit in my new car. It is as new and comes complete with box, manuals etc etc. This fantastic double din unit retails at £1000 and has everything including full iPod integration, western Europe maps, full Bluetooth car kit and plays any region DVDs. Below is a link to the Alpine site for full specs etc. http://www.alpine-electronics.co.uk/products/product-singleview/advanced-navi-station/ine-s900r.html PM me for further details including photos, shipping etc. Thanks, Jon.
  11. You could try taking her to a clay school which has both 28 and 20 bore and see which one she prefers. In my experience a lot of 28 bores are the same weight as 20 bores and with a 'starter' load of less than 21g down cylinder barrels the recoil shouldn't be an issue. Most of the girls I shoot with use 20 bores and a couple of 'em aren't even that fat! ;-) cheers,
  12. Jimny. Small, yes. Bouncy, yes. Slow, yes. but cheap to run, well built and goes everywhere. Get something bigger if you need to. I don't. Replaced my Touareg with one. Brilliant.
  13. Raw Sea Urchin or Kina as the Maori's know it. Like salty snot. Not nice. Oh, and Tofu last night - pointless! I'm with MM though - Pig's trotters, lovely.
  14. Only problem I've had with mine was trying to shoot some 65mm 21g 'trainer' loads. Everything else is faultless. Mine is abused and gets cleaned about 1 in every 10 outings. Brilliant bit of kit. Stick with 67mm cases or longer and it should be fine.
