  1. I sympathise, I had same problem last summer and it was pretty painful. I was recommended to try applying something called Badger Balm to soften the hard skin and then begin using a "PedEgg." (A bit like a filing rasp for hard skin!) I was told that the skin cracks as a result of being too hard and too thick. Anyway, it took a while but the combination of Badger Balm and regular filing with the PedEgg worked well for me and the problem hasn't come back.
  2. I visited Claybusters once a couple of years ago and it was ok. A small group of regular shooters who were friendly enough but I didn't find the surroundings that appealing. I will second what Reefcat posted about > Happy Valley < though. This was the first place that I went to and found it very welcoming and friendly, just what you need when starting out.

  4. I bought a 28g Miroku recently and am really enjoying using it. Am still getting used to it, but it is lightweight and a joy to shoot.

    Epoxsy grout

Epoxy grout is a bit like grouting with sticky toffee; it's a pretty awkward and pretty messy job. Any reason why you can't use normal cement based grout instead? It's much easier and quicker.

  12. Yes, I got given a flyer about this a couple of weeks ago, but missed the first shoot as I was working on the Saturday. If it's on and I'm not working then I will give it a try. Not too far from me and I'm all for supporting a new clay shoot
