  6. well guys every morning this week there has been around 100 crows in the field behind my house.i started early and had my hide in place for 5.30. first crows were falling in just before 6am. the wind had a bitterly cold bite to it.my hide had to be positioned with the wind in my face (not ideal but the only spot i could set up so the sun was nt in my face) the crows decided not to come my way this morning but i ended the count with 22 some of which i could nt get out of the rough, the dog still surprises me and makes good blind retrieves and for a dog that was nt trained im quite happy with her.a rook fell into the tree and if you can see had its wings out this turned the crows as they approached my deeks they did nt like it at all.you can see it in the middle of the photo.time for a nice mug of tea and some breakfast me thinks
  7. im not fussed on the adjustable power as it is hard enough to learn the trajectory of one power level let alone adjusting it during the shoot.i advise you to set a power level and stick with it 30 ft lbs is about right.the fixed power like the one i had is the model before the erb(adjustable). the side lever is available only in fac format im not sure on the price but it should be smoother to use but there is nothing wrong with a bolt gun.
  8. i had one for 3 years and it gave no bother except for a leaky pressure guage.it was an amazingly accurate gun and worked well with aa fields 5.52(it will say on the label on the underside of the tin).i made kills at over 90 ms with that gun.i zeroed at 30ms and used a mil dot scope out to further ranges 50-70 ms kills were regular occurences.i found the gun slightly noisy but in all other ways it was fine.it gave 30 odd shots at just over 30 ft lbs.everybody says they have an awful power curve but i never noticed it. is it the fixed power xtra or the adjustable erb model.need to know more just pm me mate.
  9. not sure i have never handled one im sure it uses a weihrauch barrel.is that the black take down.i think it has a roller wheel which threads of the stock to break it down.what kind of money? :hmm:do a search on enigma on the airgun bbs.some good reports some not so good.

  14. well guys i took off work early today and shot the barley fields again,i ended up with 35 today but can t get pics to go from my mobile to my pc dongle.i went out this evening but everything was all wrong.the wind changed direction and blew the hide in towards me plus the sun was in my eyes.i had to get to the highest vantage point to draw the attention of the birds.to add to my woe i had a duff shell today and i kept putting it in my haversack only to pull it out and get it again.silly ****** me pulled it 4 times and missed four birds.i managed 2 this evening which gives me a tally of 37 for today.sorry i can t post todays pics but heres a couple from this evening.you ll see what i mean about the sun in my eyes
