rhos on sea charters are very good. it is ran from the tackle shop in Rhos. if you want to puke up from the minute you get on until you get off he does not take the mick. every year i book an outing from the pub and every year i am sick before i get on the boat until i get off. i have found rhos to be the best. friendly, and undrstanding. i will go out with him again next year and i will be sick from engine on until engine off but i will try again. he is v good jim

i object in some ways. on the other hand I took a newbie out shooting in the summer as my brother said he was " a good bloke". I set him up in the hide and made sure he only shot at black ones or woodies. allright says he and off i goes to my hide. i was watching the buzzards circling the magnet when off he goes shooting at the beggar. i runs over and it was all i could do to keep my hands off. he is now sitting in the hide with my brother and he starts at the swallows. we cant take them? then says he. Get in the car says i and off we go. my brother phones up a fortnight later and asks if the pigeons are on. yep says me and we are off. on the way he picks up his imbecile mate and i am fuming. i would not leave his side. in the hide four birds cross at range and i say have a go. safety catch stumble first then a snag in his jacket means the birds are 200 yards away. i shouts leave them and the muzzles swing towards my face and only by me slapping the end of his barrels away stopped me from losing face. literally i know a certificate of competence is not the way forwards but some people should just not, i repeat not be allowed near a gun. needless to say the doughnut stays at home whnever we go out and I ma definetely not his friend

If the Japanese were to use the whales for food the so be it. If the Japanese hunted the whales in their own territorial waters instead of thousand of miles away then the good husbandry that the icelanders show may be a valid point. The truth is this, there are quite literally whalemeat mountains in Japan and they cannot give the stuff away. Nursing homes are the only people who will take it as the young will not entertain the thought of eating it Why kill wales then? You will notice that when the current ruling party in Japan is under pressure for seeming to bow to outside influence( the UN, America etc) or it has a spat with Korea or China and is senn to lose, then a whaling they will go. my young lad has lemonade pockets but champagne ideas. when out beating he continually approaches the guns. as the guns pay 600 quid a day mininmum i believe that you should not approach them and ask them personal questions ie what do you do? what do others think? jim p.s he will become a barrister so he will rub shoulders eventually but when he gets back from a day out he regales me with stories of the nobs he has rubbed along with.
