  1. I've got a couple lying around somewhere. You are welcome to one for the price of the postage. GH
  2. Ah, thanks for that OPP,I'll give it a go. A quick update though......I got some heavier better quality pellets and finished zeroing in with those....what a difference, loaded faultlessly every time and the penetration is very good too. Clean through a piece of 5/8 melamine board!! GH
  3. I have. It was the only place I could find Yildiz 20g chokes. They did send the wrong ones initially but sorted everything out in the end without any quibble. They were good to deal with though. GH
  4. Saw one swallow yesterday. Tern Hill, near Mkt Drayton. A couple of days early. GH
  5. I'm no expert but the chamber length should be stamped on the barrels near the breach somewhere That should clear up any question regarding that issue. It could also be either tired ejector springs or the ejectors could be sticking. My wife has shot Hull Pro 20's in 21, 24 and 28's with no problem at all but they do expand a little as you would expect. GH
  6. You can ask for a pension forecast on line or by phone but not before a year prior to your retirement date (at least I think it's a year). Your state pension won't be affected by any other pension you may have. It will affect the tax(if any) you pay. GH
  7. I bought one at the Shooting show. I need to try it again with a different pellet as he ones I got at the time of purchase don't exactly work. Must have wasted 20+ which got crushed in the mechanism. Seems there's a bit of a knack to it also. Couldn't get it to group at all at 15yds, mainly because the pellets were getting damaged even when they actually loaded so most were flyers! Not very impressed at the mo but reserving judgement till I've tried a better made pellet. Power seems good though so if I ever manage to get it grouping well it should be good for 30-40 yd bunnies. GH
  8. I've been a very lucky boy.....a new Silver Pigeon 1 in 20g, a Gamo Maxiim(the 10 mag auto load), a pair of bib and braces shooting trousers and a leather wallet(not sure why on the wallet as I've nowt left to put in it) GH
  9. Don't put your mobile number on the open forum. Send him a Personal Message instead. Hope this helps! GH
  10. I shoot gun down on most targets with both eyes open but close my left as I come to the shot. Seems to work and certainly stops me from seeing the left side of the barrels occasionally. I have pretty much central vision btw. GH
  11. Don't forget or underestimate a Lincoln! Made across the road from Beretta I believe. The Elite Delux model has decorated sideplates and is very well put together . and ,yes, I do own one! GH
  12. I have three extended chokes made by Briley so they are of good quality and in excellent condition. I had difficulty finding these so it may be a rare chance to get hands on some. There are -: 2x Light Modified (3/8) £25 each 1x Improved modified (5/8) £25 They are for a 20 gauge in the SPZ range of Yildiz guns £70 all three and all with free postage. Please PM me if interested and thanks for looking. GH
  13. What load is he using to shoot game? Presumably something more than 21grms. Whilst I appreciate he will shoot a lot more shells at clays than game I would think he would be ok with a minimum of 24 grand. Don't disadvantage him so much so that he gets downhearted through not breaking the longer targets. GH
  14. Aww man..,so relieved, I thought your .223 had broken and couldn't be fixed when I read the title!! Sorry, can't help! GH
  15. I'm with PfP, no complaints so far. I assume you'll check with all the comparison sites. If PfP comes out top don't worry about going with them. GH
  16. I've got a 1995 Rav4 which does everything I want it to but as for being tax exempt soon....I think you'll find a certain Mr G Brown changed the rules and I think it has to be pre 1970 something(can't remember the exact year) . I'll stand to be corrected though. GH
  17. In my experience, a fox will take a cat, given the chance. I came across a set of prints in snow which told a story to me. Picture this, three sets of converging prints, one, a cats, the other, foxes(one going in and one set leaving). A trampled circle with a small amount of blood towards the centre. It was obvious to me what had happened here and the cat didn't do too well! GH
  18. He's like the proverbial 'mad professor' . He'll do what he wants when he wants and sod the rest of us! Not exactly priministerial material is he?! GH
  19. You should be able to find more guns with little or no cast, ie straight stocked. These will obviously open the right-handed way but if they suit it would be a bonus. Another thought is a trap gun which will have a high rib already. GH
  20. I really would like to see fireworks limited to organised and well publicised public displays! No fireworks at any other time so that those of us that have pets or indeed relatives who are troubled by loud bangs and flashes can take the necessary step to alleviate the stress and suffering caused by the aforementioned!! GH
  21. We need details so we can come by and say hello!! GH
  22. I've had both, the Fusion lasted a month as I couldn't hit the proverbial but both the Urika's were brilliant! GH
  23. I've seen and heard several Ravens over the last few years, ranging from Warrington down to Audlem and further south. Luckily they make the croaking call almost constantly in flight which is a great help when out crow shooting. GH
