    Bacon

I keep my own pigs and always cure some loin and belly when I get the meat back from when they go to slaughter. Nothing better that a English breakfast with bacon and sausage from my own pigs and eggs from my chickens, even better in the summer with my own tomatoes as well.
  2. Next holiday is a 10 days in Sri Lanka then on to the Maldives for 8 nights, going in by about 10 days.
  3. Thanks for the little crossbow good bit of fun incoming.
  4. Can’t see the size of the smock
  5. Great news. I'm sure they are very happy with it.
  6. I have a 10/22 with some mods and love it. I also have a cz that i use as a dedicated night vision rifle even though the scope is a day/night scope if I am going for a little walk around I always grab the Ruger.
  7. A great watch, one of my favourites at a good price. Good luck with the sale that will make someone very happy.
  8. The only reason I part exchanged it was because I was offered a EELL in mint condition for a great price.
  9. I had a Magnus a few years ago, a lot of gun for the money. Was pleased with mine and kept it 3 or 4 years and had no problems at all with it. Used as part exchange for something else and the price offered was more that I was expecting.
  10. Great looking pups. Very reasonable money as well,
  11. Fantastic looking pups. Wish I had room for another, but its dead mans shoes here.
  12. This year has been a tricky one. We have about 1000 day olds in 2 sheds for our diy shoot. When we first got them the weather was very hot here in Cornwall so regulating the temperature was a right pain but we managed, the chicks then had some sort of infection around starve out day 3 / 4 by the time we got the medication into them we had lost about 50. In the days to follow we were picking up 5 - 10 chicks per day for about a week. The medication kicked in quickly which obviously saved a hell of a lot as we would of lost most if not them all. The hot weather continued to be a pain in June then the last 2 weeks have been fairly wet, so not ideal rearing conditions. The birds now are looking very good and ready to go to wood. I had organised a work party to de-bit, clip, crate and release into the pens on Saturday but the forecast is heavy rain all day, so have had to cancel. We are now releasing on Monday so obviously most of the guns at work so a few of us to do everything. It just shows year to year how things can change, we done everything exactly the same as all the other years but this season has just been the worst I have experienced. How full time Gamekeepers do it is beyond me, I find it very stressful and my job is not on the line. For the first time I have questioned if I want to do it again next year or just buy Poults but this would mean a lot less birds released or subs increased a hell of a lot.
  13. That's nice, I am going to sell my 90 in the next month similar spec to yours. Can I ask where else you have advertised it. I ask as I just sold my 1980 3 series BMW on ebay and the amount of time wasters was ridiculous. Selling my 90 for 13k I expect even more.
  14. I am a member of the Naked Wine angels club, they support independent winemakers and small producers and do some excellent wines.
  15. Thanks but I don't have a cheque book and can't remember last time I wrote one either personally or for my business. I can pay by bank transfer very safe.
  16. Looks great, we are planning a trip next year. Mostly Pigeon / Dove with a bit of Guinea and Sandgrouse.
  17. Don't see their beer down this far but hopefully a buyer can be found. Skinners Brewery down here in Cornwall went pop October last year, a very dark day. But another local brewery Goodh Brewing Co has bought them and working from the same premises brewing Betty Stoggs, Lushingtons etc.
  18. I have been looking at similar with a friend. Who have you booked with? We have been looking at Four Season Shooting.
