  1. That is very nice. I do like a Datejust, If it was a steel Jubilee I might of been interested. Have you seen what Watchfinder etc will do for you. Might not be quite what you want but would be a quick sale and better than the scammers on Ebay.
  2. If this is not allowed I apologise and please delete. I am a proud father just trying to help his son. My son is at Bristol Uni studying electronic music production. Below is a link to a sample of his track just released, I know this will not be to everyone's taste including my own and I get that. The more plays he gets the better (even just to say "music was better in my day") it is for his studying and future within the industry. Once again I apologise. <iframe style="border-radius:12px" src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/album/6BFNTZfI51JGoBs1WdT5rx?utm_source=generator" width="100%" height="380" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" loading="lazy"></iframe>
  3. What you describe is the normal weather forecasts for Cornwall. It really makes me laugh when they say the southwest is going to get so and so when they are talking about Bristol roughly 200 miles away.
  4. I do like a Philps one of my favourites. No one does them around here so I always grab a couple when down your way well worth the weight (time and gain)
  5. Every time I read this thread I have to head down the village and get a Pastie, mind you it does not take much. One of the shops sells Pasties from the St Agnes Bakery and they are in my opinion the best out of about 8 different makes for sale locally.
  6. I am sure I wouldn't be disappointed. Just looked at my Musto jacket and its a medium. I am thinking all of it would be a little too big for me. I can obviously get the breeks sorted but a jacket is more of a problem.
  7. That is very nice. My old suit is getting on a bit I am tempted.
  8. I have used Meindl Dovre Extremes for many season and love them. But last season I bought a pair of Hanwags at a good price and they are every bit as good and not as heavy, my next pair will be Hanwag.
  9. We raise pigs for the table / freezer every year. At the moment we have large whites but have had Middle Whites, Cornish Black, Tamworths, GOS, Saddlebacks and a mixture of the above to name a few. We have been keeping them for about 20 years and love the whole process apart from the trip to the abattoir which I never enjoy but is all part of the journey.
  10. Sorry this is not helpful but I have had some Laksen Breeks and they came up very small. I take a 34" waist and their 34" were closer to 30". But again I have not tried this jacket😄
  11. We are very lucky we don't pay rent as the farmer is in the syndicate and we raise our own birds from day olds. Both things save us a lot of money.
  12. I have seen the first 3 episodes and have really enjoyed them, look forward to the rest.
  13. We have normally 8 guns standing. Its a diy shoot so work parties and feed rota.
  14. That is an expensive small shoot. Ours is £750 for a full gun about 800 - 900 birds to wood.
  15. I think if it was notifiable just about everyone in the country would need to notify as it is everywhere. I have always understood that the land owner had to clear any Ragwort which we do. Just found this info below: Under the Weeds Act 1959, landowners/occupiers must control ragwort within risk areas for grazing or forage production. This means there is a legal obligation to remove ragwort where it's growing on this land or there is a high risk of spread to it. I rent out a few fields for horses and have it written into their grazing contract that they have to pull the Ragwort.
  16. I guess the dog needs the training to be 100% or you have a dead dog.
  17. I do like Seamaster, lots of versions and still available. Not sure what your one is, it is similar to the 600. The version you have will still be collectable but unfortunately at the bottom end of the market as there are no precious metals. It will obviously need a repair and service which could cost more than its worth. I just had my Omega Planet Ocean serviced and it cost around £300. Ideally if you have a watch repair place near you drop it in and get them to give you a quote. Or if you have no sentimental attachment and don't want to get it repaired chuck on ebay starting price £50 and see where it ends up described as vintage and original and with some decent photos you might be surprised. www.luxurywatchrepairs.com I have used the above company a couple of times. I think they will give you a free no obligation quote for the work needed if you have no one near you. There are some very knowledgeable watch guys on here who can give you far better advise then I can.
  18. My favourite cartridge at a great price. Come have a break in Cornwall and bring them with you.
  19. Evidence for what? Me being on a few shoots with him, he being a good shot or being a nice bloke? The rest is surely obvious.
  20. I just wish every F1 race was as good.
  21. Yes please. Bank transfer?
  22. That is a bargain. I love my 10/22 so many after market bits.
  23. I completely agree about not using the magpie out of my three springers only one will happily pick crows etc, one will reluctantly but not often to hand and the third won't touch them. I always keep some game in my spare freezer in feather and fur so I have a ready supply once defrosted. I then refreeze when not needed. These are kept very separate from any we are going to eat. 🤢
  24. Last year there were low numbers around here, I did not bother to lamp them very much as I did not want to get rid everything. It seems to of made a difference as they are back in numbers this year.
