The gun is fixed choke with 28-inch barrels, if you are looking for a clay gun and want to change chokes, then you would be better purchasing a multi-choke, however the gun is in near mint condition and is priced very competitively. Hope this helps Neil

Does anyone use a 243 ackley improved, I currently have 223 Tikka but considering moving to something a little bigger for deer which I can home load, I will mainly use it for fox so I don't want to go too big.

Do any of you guys find the barrel fouls quite heavily, what is your cleaning routine.

Do you have a 17hmr? they do foul more than a 22, after about 25 rounds you struggle to get the brass weight through the barrel? I have never had that problem with my 223.

I have ordered some kg1, kg2, kg3 kg4 and Kg12, it should be with me in a couple of weeks. What results have you had from the bore conditioner? I have a Sako Quad varmint in 17hmr and 22 but I find the 17 fouls up quite a lot, I have heard that they foul less after about 500 rounds.

Anyone tried kg 12 copper cleaner? tried Hoppes benchrest but be happy to here other opinions?

Anyone tried KG 12 Copper solvent, i have heard it is the muts nuts for removing copper, I have tried to get this from suppliers in the UK but nowhere seems to have it in stock. I was considering ordering some direct from the States? would anyone else be interested if I bought some over?

Hi There, Any rifle shooters out there? just bought myself a Sako Quad Varmint with 17/22 barrels, fitted with a schmidt & Bender 4-12x42, this is a fantastic piece of kit, I have only shot the 17 hmr barrel at the moment with excellent results, the first outing with the local farmer driving, resulted in 43 dead bunnies, he was over the moon which is always a good result. The accuracy of this rifle compared to my .22 cz was unbeliveable, my local bunnie population was getting a bit twitchy towards the lamp with everything scattering as soon as they heard the vehicle. The beauty with this rifle and calibre is the distance you can consistantly achieve the shot, most of the shots were 100-150 yards out, generally where the bunnies had stopped and felt safe with the .22. I have read that a few people have had problems with extracting live rounds especially in .22 calibre, some have indicated certain make to be worst then others, I would appreciate anybodys comments on this.
