You can't print onto plastic paper with your computer printer, a laser printer has a heater and the plastic will melt and stick to it , knackering the printer. Ink jet ink won't stick to the paper. We use a company called 'Hi-Standard Studios', but there a few more, ring round the bigger clubs like 'Grange, Hodnet, Doveridge or Orston and ask who they use hope this helps kermit

Decent shoot, well work a visit, Also on facebook kermit

We have 100 metre releases, 0.75mm² flex and in one piece. Joining up two lengths of wire, causes a voltage drop (resistance), and as soon as trap battery drops a little it will not fire. kermit

Stolen Promatic Clay Traps, be aware...
Kermit the frog replied to Catamong's topic in Clay Pigeon Shooting
There is a market abroad for traps, but they would need to be advertised to get the sale. Or a gang would need a ready market, which would take some organising. I think the Police have other things to do, and can't be bothered chasing round the country trying to identify possible stolen goods, Steve will have the serial numbers on the invoice, as the traps were new, but few grounds know the serial numbers of their traps, so it would be impossible to bring a prosecution, without positive i/d. I think it's down to websites like this to pass the word round when stuff gets knicked, and for grounds to put some effort into protecting their assets. Unfortunately they don't hang thieves anymore. kermit -

I buy and sell clay traps, and refurb them! It was me that found the traps stolen from Bridgenorth. I won't touch anything that is doubtful, usually the price gives it away! But clubs could help themselves by putting some identifying mark on traps, after all they all look alike! Something inside the control box or a splodge of bright paint in an out of the way place under the carousel or throwing plate, and write down the serial numbers. Kermit -
Getting ready for shooting mentally.
Kermit the frog replied to Will Poon's topic in Clay Pigeon Shooting
Slightly off the subject, but I eating an quantity before I shoot has an adverse affect, it has got worse as I have got older. Always seem to shoot better hungry! kermit -

Have been to service or repair about a dozen GDK's, and they are a bag of ****, very cheap, very nasty, not fit for purpose. Won't go and fix them any more. kermit

Have some reconditioned Promatic Super sporters, £1100 no VAT kermit

If I get a shooter with this problem, I ask them to shoot the target, then again with the second barrel (or the biggest bit remaining) The foot position and stance then usually fall into place, as it becomes obvious if you have run out of room to swing kermit

Using up a load of old no.5's on clays?
Kermit the frog replied to HuskyRich's topic in Clay Pigeon Shooting
No CPSA ground will you use them, 28gr. 6 shot is maximum permissable, bigger shot goes further and void the safety zone and insurance requirements. 32gr are also much noisier. For everyones sake do not use them on clays kermit -
road runner An idea of what the traps were, make and model, voltage, colour would help. Just as a note to others who read this, get a tin of spray paint, and give every trap you have a splash somewhere to make them distinctive, and recognisable, you don't have to go mad. kermit
