  1. Sale didn’t work for me but Thanks Spain187 for doing the legwork trying to sort this for me. Really helpful chap!
  2. I’ve got 2 slots on FAC and I’m looking for a Semi and bolt action in East Yorkshire ideally. looking for a ‘rough and ready’ sort of thing but no real fixed requirements thanks
  3. Thanks for all the replies. Got a bit of a panick on but based on above I will call feo tomorrow. Cheers
  4. Could I transfer them to a friends sgc and let mine lapse? Then re-apply when I get my cabinet moved to my parents in law (not simple)
  5. Thanks for the replies i havent relocated them them yet they are still at my parents
  6. Hi there, in in the process of renewing my sgc I’ve realised i haven’t notified the police that I have moved address. My guns are kept st my parents house (previous address) but I now live with my wife’s parents just down the road. I obviously have the cabinet key in my possession. My only explanation for the omission was that the ‘move’ to my wife’s family home was incremental and took me years to change it on all official documents. Advice please !
  7. I'm pleased it's not just me who thinks it's a great gun! I think it's a fair price and less than I paid.
  8. I wouldn't say dull no. I've attached another photo, I'm a big fan of the more understated engraving. I maybe should have given it a bit better polish before taking the photo.
  9. Hi this is my gun. I've attached a picture of the top lever:
  10. Hi im trying to make this decision at the moment. I think it will save me £70 month (lower rate tax) over the Passat estate which is my other option. most of my mileage is in 100+ miles trips also the real world figures for MPG wont be a benefit. have you found any issues? im particularly interested in motorway driving and the sat nav which I really didn't get on with on the test drive. thanks
  11. HI, Not sure about the chokes I'm afraid, although I've never suffered from the 1/2 and 1/2. Not sure when I'm next down there, would be Jan or Feb - i will let you know? Sambu
  12. Hi, I have just measured it at 8mm at the breech, then widening slightly to 11mm before narrowing to end at 10mm. I used a ruler and there may be .5mm either way. Is this what you were after? Cheers Sambu
  13. This one Winchester 6500 Trap 30" vgc 12 gauge
  14. Thanks for the comments, I bought the gun on the spot after the first try and its a shame to see it go. Hotaeroman - you could always get a bigger cabinet! Sam
  15. Hi, This is my listing, thanks for looking. the action is tight, had it looked at by my local range to check the choke. I have attached a picture of the lever although not the best the angle makes it look a bit further left than it is, I will get another pic up soon. I bought the gun as is and so not sure when it was bored out but I never noticed to be honest. Thanks Sam
  16. Just had the chocked check and its 1/2 and 1/2, at some point its been altered from 1/2 and 1/4. Regards
  17. cheers, perhaps we will have to come to you.

thats not what I'm suggesting, I'm suggesting that 'we' need to re-***** they way we produce food. i don't suggest that the world goes veggie (although it would be a far more efficient) but as a nation we eat WAY too much meat. As i have said, I'm not an expert, just an interested party but I'm sure we could produce the meat we need in a way that reduced inputs like antibiotics. Modern technology and drugs are wonderful, but i believe there are better ways to apply them.
  19. How would you suggest customers make the most informed choice possible? i appreciate that the whole picture will ever be know but an indication would certainly help us choose a vet. when we were getting our GSP spayed we faced some almost hostile reactions to questioning about IVs and monitoring etc.

    chemical input then?

I am ignorant to the politics surrounding this but there are some very wealthily people with very wealthy friends who would rather farmers keep buying their fertilisers etc. i know i sound like a nutter but I'm not, honest. i imagine that if you apply the principles of modern commercial farming, but omit the chemicals, you will see a fall in yield. The whole approach to crowing crops, and to an extent the crops we grow, need to change. i think of it like trying to run an intensive pig unit without chemical input, they would all be dead in a week.

i totally agree with comments re increased yield in organic or near organic systems. there is excellent evidence that intercropping on organic systems can at least double the crop yields compared to 'modern' monoculture systems. Surely this system is worth investigating on a larger scale?: 1) reduced chemical application and increased diversity Must be good for wildlife. 2) reduced synthetic fert input would reduce the carbon welly print of agriculture in a BIG way. 3) a bit more abstract but as we have an issue with jobs - why not make farming more labour intensive again - more direct human input would certainly increase jobs in the industry. I'm sure you are right - and clearly far more knowledgeable then me in this area, but your assuming that 'they' know what they're doing. I joined a chap from Syngenta looking at trial plots a couple of weeks ago and he was quite open about a 'new' disease (fungus) which had appeared following he development of new 'better' barley varieties. this now means that at least 2 fungicide applications are necessary rather than 1 - thats what i call progress!
  23. if I were buying car (rather than choosing a company car) It certainly wouldn't be a BMW or Merc, not worth it.
