In 5yrs I'll still be shooting the same subsonic as I do now. -

It's really not worth it. -

I've got everything to make these bar the non tox shot. A pound a bang isn't that much when you take that into account. I assume you would need something like Bismuth shot. -

What's this for? -
You wouldn't without knowing exactly what it is.

Not a chance. Best of a dreadful field of candidates but still awful.

Some lead there. Good video 👍

copper or lead, that's the question

Be careful there. Pressures might go thru the roof. -

I would want to shoot far more than one pattern to come to a solid conclusion. -
Cutting down plastic wads.

AFAIK it's about volume in the case and the amount of space the gases have to expand into before the crimp opens. -
I wouldn't recommend using pure antimony. Linotype is much easier if you can find it.

F1 Chrony here for everything 👍

Because I live in Kettering and have been loading for years. Could have shown you how once we can mix with each other again.
-
Just chuck in a sugar puff or weeto to make up minor stack heights for now. Rose Gold cartridges suggest Kibworth. Ard you anywhere near Kettering?

Seems that claygame will load your recipe into 8 shells and pressure test them for £28 all in.

Unhappy member seeking an alternative to BASC

That would be dearer than the licence and doctors fee combined, and you'd still get nowhere. -
Maybe 13p each plus the lead for 12g. If you can get free lead and make shot it becomes viable. I often enjoy reloading more than shooting, esp now I've got a 20 gauge Mec 9000. Sweet 😁

What size are you making?

I watched a video by a cardiologist earlier who said the average age for dying is only 60 and only half of those in intensive care make it through. Also men account for 70% of deaths which is probably the most scary statistic of all.

I have 1kg of Maxam CSB5 shotgun reloading powder available for £37. Collection from Kettering.

410 hushpower cartridges
sitsinhedges replied to Downesy's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I wouldn't waste your time. They are far too heavy for such a small bore and are likely to be very slow. I found that a lot if 3" 410 shells are sub 1100fps by my chrono and so are subsonic anyway. Eley are a good example, I couldn't tell the difference between standard 3" and subs. Just buy Eley 3" fibre in my opinion. -

It's still nonsense. -
Reloading For shot gun and rifle

This older gentleman is clearly talking out of his backside. You maybe can't use reloads for registered shoots purely because they could give you an advantage of heavier loads but you definitely can for claybashing, and they are definitely as safe as any other cartridge if done properly.
