  1. I need a regulation Black Powder Box to hold about 1 kilo of powder. Thanks Arthur
  2. How much for postage to Rugby? Arthur
  3. I have just sold mine last week to go to a bolt action. I used it with subs for over a year and never had a minutes trouble. I have only changed because my mobility has become restricted and I have no wish to take a shot then move on unsteady legs with one up the spout on the rough ground at the farm. Yes I know theres a safety catch but we all make mistakes so belt and braces for me. With an SAK mod on the end all you could hear was the action. Good luck Arthur
  4. Sorry about the title. It should of course be MOSSBERG!
  5. Does anyone know if there is a ten shot mag made for the 817 and if so where can I get one? Thanks Arthur
  6. Have just won my first club trophy with one of these in 30" barrel. Had it about three years now and wouldn't change it for gold. DON'T SELL, ENJOY!! Arthur
  7. Thanks Karl. A great deal and a lovely gun. My nephew will be chuffed. Arthur
  8. Never had trouble with anti's when shooting but almost got killed by these lunatics whilst fishing! I was lucky enough to get into the England Disabled Fly-Fishing team a few years ago and a friend took me out in a boat to get some practice before an International Contest. We had been out about an hour when suddenly the boat was pulled over sideways by a couple of guys with snorkles. I used to be a strong swimmer but at the time I was confined to a wheelchair with leg problems. Lucky for both of us the boat righted itself and we were able to scramble back in with no loss of life but a lot of lost tackle. By the time we got back to shore the ratbags had made off in thier vehicles and no-one had seen them go. The police were called but there was very little they could do. Since then I have been very wary of anyone who approaches me when I am out. I don't move very far from my vehicle as I still have mobility problems and if anyone comes near, for thier safety and my own, I tend to break and unload the gun and put it in the motor out of reach. I wont say that it would be great to come across these idiots who tipped the boat now that I have a shotgun and firearms certificats but I am sure you will all know what I measn. Arthur
  9. Try Ford shooting ground. Go past the prison entrance and take the first right. At the end of this lane turn right and its on your left. Everything from air gun to full bore and a shop as well. Good luck Arthur
  10. I am about to take possesion of my first .17hmr.# At present I have a .22 semi-auto which I only use really at air rifle ranges. ie: about 30-50 yds. The reason for this is I have mobility problems and can no longer stalk across fields etc carrying gun as two sticks make it difficult. I am going to start using a high power lamp, filtred, and stay by my 4x4 to shoot. Would you use a bi-pod to aid distance shots or just the bonnet? I would point out that I drive round and harvest my shoot after each visit. Any advice welcome except the one that says "Stay home in the warm you old fool!!" You've just got to go out there and try Thanks Arthur
  11. Need a cabinet. Breakdown or full will do. Have 2 shotguns and 2 scoped rifles. Only got 3 gun cabinet and they just don't want to fit. (Tried sawing 18 inches off shotguns but still won't go. OOPs) Can travel any reasonable distance to collect. Thanks Arthur
