Well we live in a very hilly area so 4WD is a must im not looking for a sport quad i allready have one and i know how useless it would be as a farm quad. I was wondering if any of the farm bikes handeled much better that others.

A friend of mine is looking to buy a new quad but wants one that he can play about on and have some fun on. Which one sould you suggest? I have a Yamaha Blaster to play on but he needs one that can tow and has 4wd

Well were i live isnt really much of a arable area we have about 150acres on our 600 acre farm and do some more for a neigbour but round here its mainly sheep and cattle farms. Weve just spend 10k on our combine NH 8060. I was talking to a contractor today and he is absolutly sick of pulling the combine out ever time they get stuck which has happened so many times they have lost count.

Finish our own a few days ago averaged about 18% which wasnt to bad for the year. We have half a field left to do for someone else after we gave up beacause neither the combine or the tractors and trailers could travel. A neigbour has just spend 40k on a new combine and it tavel with it being so wet and our 20 year old thing will. In the past we have had a problem with water shortages so we deicded we should get a bore hole so we ordered it and ever since then it has rained! When it came we had to tow the drilling rig the compressor and two vans into the field and then back out again.

Im not sure about weat put i think it was the same last year when the barley was cut it was not worth that much about £60 a ton so if farmers sold it then ther wasnt much profit to be made. throught the winter it went all the way up to £115 where it peaked and then went back down. This year it is curently worth about £57 and i very much doubt that it will go up much a couple of quid maybe. As for being wet it will take a few days to get rid of all of the water we are planning on starting again on tuesday if it is dry till then. Its still to wet to be going anywhere with a tractor at the moment here but it makes it more fun on my quad anyway so im happy

no rain we had about 2 inch today i even managed to get a 4wd tractor bogged its that wet.

As an estimate when the heads are all bend right over and when you get a piece of grain between your finger nails if you cant crush it atall then its both dry and ripe or if you want to look like a proper farmer you could try and break the grainin your teath. Asking the farmer seems a far simpler way of finding out although he probally wont be able to tell you that accurately as it will depend on the weather.

With the release of the new discovery they are giving away the old ones went to have alook at one the other day but decided it would be to big with a trailer on. Although the Discovery 3 sounds a good car from what ive heard it might be more than your 30k budget.

Hammergun before talking to the policeman thats what i thought was the case but he definutly said that there wasnt much point as you still cant go out on your own. i think that ill get one of my parents to ring the police station to find out for sure.

Im also 15 so when the firearm person came round to check the gun cabinet at the new house i thought it would be a good time to ask about getting my own certificate. At 15 he said that u still can not go out on your own with a shotgun even on your own land. the only advantage seems to be that the adult you go with doesnt have to have a certificate.

iwas there on sunday arrived there about 8:45 on sunday and spent about 5 mins queing if that we never stopped just slowed down 2 about 10mph for 1/2 mile. Left at 5 past 5 and once agian never stopped traveled at about 20mph all the way out. Great day!

I am heading of to the game fair i was wondering if one of these would be a good investment. Around here i have mainly crows about 5 crows for every pigeon do they work on both? How much would a decent one cost?

ive also heard about them never used them though might see if i can buy some at the game fair
