  1. Taken from Steve smiths Facebook pages It with heavy hearts we have to inform you that the man, the myth, the legend, dad, friend, all round top shot our very own Jack Reed passed away the early hours of Sunday morning in Durham Hospital. As some of you know Jack had been suffering a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He’s at peace now We will keep you updated on Funeral arrangements etc.
  2. Thanks I'm hoping I can do her right as her breeding is good , it's my 1st full spaniel jess was a gwp x springer. Again mate my deepest sympathy on loosing yours . I as many on here know how much it hurts
  3. It's terrible news mate . It's quite a few yrs since I lost jess and I'm not ashamed to say I cried like a baby when she went (very unexpectedly) . I vowed that I would not have another but going out for a walk about shoot just wasn't the same without a 4 legged companion. Ffwd to September 2023 and I caved in and got a working cocker pup PIP (born 13/7/23) she's a handfull but we love having around the house. her training is coming along slowly as i had a big operation on my shoulder in November and recovery time is going to be around 12-16 months approximately
  4. Sorry for late response. If I'm 100% honest she behind a little . Reasons been 1 the first 2x I had her out on lead she had bad experiences with other idiot owners . 1 stupid woman with 2 unsocialised poodles that we're going berserk trying to get to her. 2nd one an idiot had his bulldog cross off lead and it came from nowhere and grabbed her , he was nowhere in sight for about 1 min and had no idea on what his stupid mongrel was doing and couldn't see why I was annoyed. So she's a bit nervous of other dogs now but getting better. But I'm recovering from a big operation on my shoulder so not getting as much done with her as I'd like

  10. She was only 12 or so weeks old on her 4 or 5 walk out on the lead . It has set her back a little but as she's still a bit nervous of dogs bigger than her other pups or small dogs she'll carefully approach them
  11. I know it's been done loads of times but I'm going to have a rant anyway. Had the pup out for a walk this afternoon on lead everything going good when out of no where a flaming border collie cam steaming across the field barking , growling . The useless moron of an owner was stood about 400yds away shouting irs name not having a chuffing clue where his dog was . It frightened the pup big time to the point she was yelping and trying to get Away tail tucked under and looking petrified. When I confronted him all he had to say was what's wrong he only wanted to say hello . The swear filter won't let me say my retort . But it ended with something on the lines of that's my usual walk for my pup and from now on I'll be carrying a 6ft seasoned hardwood stick and if his dog comes anywhere near us again it'll be it yelping not the pup . I really don't blame the collie just the moron of an owner . I couldn't even see a lead on his person , if he had one it must of been in his jeans pocket
  12. That's coz I cropped the pic ... Here's the original

  15. She's way better than expected ...... I know its early days but she is xlnt in the cage overnight , put her to bed between 10.30pm and 11pm and she has a 2 min whinge then not a peep till between 5am -7am when she'll whine ....come down let her out Into the garden and she does both . Twice yesterday we put her in the cage in the boot of the xtrail and she's fine while travelling.
  16. Just got a cocker (8 weeks old) so same as scutt will be a while yet
  17. She certainly has and I couldn't have asked for a better start. Picked her and her sister up at 9am to go get their 1st jab and microchip . Vet gave them both a clean bill of health . Brought them home bathed them (kennel stink). They had a daft half hour chasing each other round and playing tug o war with the toys then fed ect with plenty of trips outside with toilet command . My nephew picked her sister up when he finished work (he bred them). Pip spent the rest of the day following me round the house and laying at my feet when I sat down . . She had a couple oh stints in cage and just slept . . Put her in when we ate and again she just slept . Couple of 5 min play sessions and outside with toilet command and wee'd each time . F/F to 10.30pm out for toilet then cage for bed .. Expecting a rough 1st night . Wrong!!! Not a pèep out of her till 5.30am started whinging came downstairs cage dry took her outside and she done both . Well done PIP . I'll give her a bit play back outside and see where we go from there . But early signs promising

  19. W.T.H take no notice .... Lady Jack is a genuinely nice guy .... offers like his are far and few between ....and do not deserve people taking the urine !! And yes before you get on my case I have met and shot with the guy on his land
  20. I was thinking of CHIP but S.W.M.O didn't like it . Then one day last week I was mulling over names and thought PIP and my Mrs came into the room and said I've got a name for her and came out with PIP I burst out laughing and she asked why so I told her literally 5 mins ago I had thought of pip
