  1. Looks really good. I look forward to someone over here doing a review of one.
  2. I know you are right. I will still keep my eye out though
  3. Nice, shame you didnt advertise the SPAS on here. I really want one!! If anyone has one on S2 let me know!!
  4. As above, theres no problem with collapsable stocks as long as the gun meets the minimum OAL with the stock 'collapsed' And thinking about it, I wonder if that OAL on that with the mod is enough so you could have it with just a pistol grip? That would be the ultimate ninja weapon :good:
  5. At least part of the reason for that is most of the advertisers are large RFD's who continually restock all the popular stuff i.e Tikka t3's, Rem 700,s 10/22's, CZ 452's, and the main Benelli, Beretta and Browning shotguns. Also, every time I see something I want on there its always miles away from where I live. Even more annoyingly its always near where I used to live a few months back before I moved down south
  6. Dealxtreme are safe to order from in my experience. I had no issues with them in the past.
  7. Did any of you go to a range out there? I went to Phuket shooting club and had a play around with some hand guns It was quite expensive though!! Randomly, they have a go cart track there as well and some elephants!? I love Thailand.
  8. I really like the look of short barelled 'coach guns'. Not this 'tactical' one I should add, but the regular wooden ones like this: Shame we can' really get them here. I know some people can get short barelled ones on S1 for Cowboy Action Shooting but I'd imagine they are pretty hard to get on your ticket.
  9. Those romisens are great for the money. I had one, lost it, bought another one, and lost that one too :o I have Fenix LD20 now which is really nice but would be gutted if I lost it as its about 4x the price of the little romisen!
  10. I think the M3 and SPAS are the only ones. I'm after a section 2 SPAS 12 myself (just for fun) but can't find anyone willing to part with one
  11. Any of the PSG guys here will tell you that guns like the 870 get dry fired all day long without issue. I wouldnt both with snapcaps if I was you.
  12. Why does there have to be so much infighting The shooting community needs to STICK TOGETHER. Just beacuse you don't like or understand something doesnt mean it should not be allowed. These kind of guns are almost exclusively bought for club shooting and they don't look out of place there. Most people will have more sense than to go wandering around the fields with them when the public are about. A bit of tolerance and understanding is what this community needs.
  13. Surely dry firing a shotgun can't be that bad? Dont most people pull the trigger before storing it after closing the action on an o/u or semi? Ive seen this discussion on a lot of forums and its always the same. There are two camps: "If you dry fire a shotgun the firing pin will explode, your legs will fall off and your dog will die" vs "Back in the day when the metal was not as good etc etc but now with modern mettalurgy it wont damage anything" I'm in camp 2
  14. Outdoors GB is a good one. It contains proper OS maps of the country. If you want larger scale ones you will need to pay but IMO well worth it. They show all rights of way, foot paths, bridleways byways etc. Really useful for any outdoor activity. For games, Angry Birds is VERY VERY good and hugely addictive. Skype is another good one that I don't think was mentioned. You can actually call other skype users from it using the phone so it wont use your minutes
  15. In no particular order, the top 5 are probably going to be: Benelli Supernova <-most expensive Mossberg 500 Mossberg 590 <- cylinder choke only Remingon 870 wingmaster Hatsan escort <- cheapest
  16. Not used a bolt action. However, I have used pumps. Used to own a Benelli Supernova and have played with a Mossberg 500. They are fun to shoot. If you are shooting clays, you need to be very good at pumping it fast whilst not taking your head off the stock to hit pairs. If fast follow up shots are not that important to you, they are great. There are some shooters who are extremely fast wit ha pump, I am not one of them The other advantage is that they will cycle anything from the lightest #9 shot to slugs with no issues as its you doing the ejecting not a fancy gas or inertia system.
  17. I signed up as I was thinking the same as you are. I got a mail back saying they need to verify me before I can make an online bid. Then I never heard anything back. I tried mailing them a few weeks later asking if I could bid online yet and didnt hear anything back that time either?
  18. Can you give us some pointers on what to look out for? It would be appreciated.
  19. They do look great don't they. I've been fancying one myself. I will be watching this thread
  20. Ah yes, I didnt take into account all of the grumpy old people who have a problem with things that arent made of wood.
  21. ..and about 4x the price. If you practice enough with your pump gun you will be quick enough with it.
  22. Where did you get the 500A from? I see 500's about but I prefer the look of the 500A. I think the vented rib of the 500 takes away from the looks of the gun. Ozzyfud - MidwayUK will have synthetic stock and forends etc for your gun I think. Check out their website or speak to Pete Starley maybe.
